This also wont change much in a speedrun perspective, since what you are asking is really just a NG+ run. which in fact would be slower since we would have infinite health so would not be able to take advantage of Claire's caution ability.
but as said many times in the Speedrunning community. You don't need a run on sr.c to validate you doing something. so if you wanna run the game with that stuff by all means.
if you are referring to the out of bounds set up. you must do the eagle shadow puzzle and the clock puzzle BEFORE you insert any of the two key cards into the door. or else the game will soft lock.
It can be any time before you insert the keys, but the optimal time is doing the eagle puzzle while you are in the process of getting jack into the main room for the OoB set up.
as for the clock puzzle you will see runners do that when they are on the way to grab the blue keycard.
Its known, and a fix is on it's way so i ask everyone for patience.

I still have my old CD copy but its a little scratched up and poorly handled. so just wanted a better option.

so, from what I have figured out when playing. I found that if you pause the game the camera will fix itself, but it can still go wanky again. Another fix is, if I re started (exited and pressed continue) the chapter I would not get the camera wanky-ness at all.
sadly these are not good fixes since they both loose you time
I also tested and does not seem to have anything do to with the sensitivity. as a ps4 player myself I can relate to this, it is truly a annoyance.
It seems this is just one of the things wrong with the ps4 version. Another example is the button to open doors (R2) does not even work and you have to re assign it lol
sadly seems like it's just something that you will need to bear.

@Snapballcar make sure you are comparing against "Game time", you have it "Activated", and are using the one that says by CursedToast on it.
@Galhrrera make sure that the splitter is updated to the current version.

after a lot of research and testing i would like to give a update to what we have found.
first things first both xbox series and ps5 have the game capped at 60fp that means that the knife is not OP.
HOWEVER next gen consoles hold 60fps a lot better than ps4 or xbone. The Series X performance wise, loads faster and holds 60fps much easier then the others making it the best console to speedrun but please note it is not by much After looking over the runs there seems to be no difference that we could find with the platforms other than framerate stability
you still need to pause the game to let parts load. The zombie in the beginning that burst through the door you still need to pause... the door after the croc sequence after exiting the elevator with Ada.. still requires a pause but do not need to wait as long. These parts don't save or loss time as you guys know since pausing the game stops the timer.
there seems to be very little differences with next gen and past gen consoles. since this is the case we are keeping all the consoles on the same board.
Now i have heard that game companies have been providing updates to there games giving them a next gen boost.. if this happens to Re2 we will revisit this and maybe split the boards then. Especially if they become 120 fps.

Parts where the game needs time to load on past gen, seem to not be the case anymore, least from what we have experienced or heard. for example: the donut shop door when you exit from and the last door at the start of nemmy 4, they loaded instantly. We pause at these moments anyway so this does not save or loss any time, but it's nice to have now.
At the very end when you need to shoot Nikolai, on ps4/xbone there is a delay for when you can fire your gun, this is not the case for Ps5/Series. The shot is almost instant like it is on PC This seems to be the biggest time save.
HOWEVER after the horde/tower defense battle with Carlos it seems that you still need to do a quick pause to get the cutscene to happen quickly.
comparing it seems that the Series X loads faster, making it the best console to speedrun compared to the ps5. faster loads means less time bleed and the last shot is instant like it is on PC granted this is not by much though.
with all this information we have decided that there is not enough of a difference to split the categories up. we are keeping ALL the consoles together on one board.

there's 24 PC runners and 17 Console runners. not that big of a difference. and i'm fine with just a console tab not separating the console platforms. just for any% too since yeah there's only one console runner for 100% so no point in adding that one..
is it possible we could get a Console tab too, :) Pleeeeeease? lol
you're talking like a "level Leaderboard" runs for each individual chapter?

-Only the Starting/Burst Handgun, and Magnum are allowed. -Every other weapon is NOT allowed. (Including Knife and Grenades)

Please don't do that, it is not allowed and can get you into more trouble
as for the ps4 broadcaster sadly that's just the risk of using it. its not perfect and has problems like that. When I use it what I do is turn off all notifications, and don't open the PS menu (along with the quick menu)
