When you right click with weapons it counts as aiming, even with melees as far as I can tell, so when you right click while inside of her model the auto aim freaks about a little bit because it resets after each collision with her hitbox, it's essentially hitting a hitbox segment and locking on to a new one over and over

I play on variable frame rate and I can always consistently get the first hitbox glitch, I haven't had a one hit but I've had a few two hits; I haven't tested if it's tied to frame rate as reliability

I feel like you've just picked an awkward time to submit the run; the mods here don't work as a job, they have outside lives and they do it purely to help, there isn't always somebody available to accept a run.

Part of the job is not being discriminant towards anyone, regardless of your differences with them. People are not approved in order of their "fame" they may be approved in order of their trust though

I've been running a long time, some people know me well, some people know of me, and some people don't know me at all, some of my runs have been accepted within like 10 minutes, others have taken a day or so, it depends on the volume of mods and their lives, not to mention the fact there are a LOT of people like yourself who are submitting runs, there's like 40 odd people just running NG+, all getting new PBs and submitting new runs, and runs are an hour 30 to 2 hours long, and they have to be watched and checked.

If your run isn't getting accepted you either didn't provide a valid video, didn't put in all of the details or didn't put the details in correctly, try getting in touch with one of the mods, most of them are available via steam or twitter and whatnot. I don't recommend chasing them in their twitch streams because that's just annoying.

Just have patience, make sure all your details were correct and if you're truly worried try contacting a mod, perhaps as an initial method instead of accusing mods of shafting you openly on the forums

Madhouse is risky; its definitely a lot safer to use the pistol and finish her with the axe if you miss shots; i reckon it could take 5-8 clipped hits, considering the most you can get on her while she's down is 2 or 3 I don't think an entire madhouse clip kill is possible, not to mention if you mess up you die nearly instantly

On NG+ I tested magnum, I can beat her in about 20-25 seconds, if you time her iframes you can kill her pretty much as she spawns in, on NG I pretty much perfected influencing her spawns and I can take her out in 40-45 seconds with the shotgun

I've never trusted twitch with my record recordings, and this seems common theme so I will continue to not trust it: YouTube all the way!

I'm going to look into alternative recording; OBS has been reliable for me and so I'm concerned about using something else, I often get frame drops, never massive but I did have a huge one and the game essentially froze for 10 seconds.

Whenever I used FRAPS it never used to record, it would split it up into like 3 minute video segments, OBS is good for me but it drags my CPU like hell, and RE7 requires 90% of my CPU to run before recording

I will say; on an easy game run, not even knife only I once placed a remote bomb for the fattys but forgot to detonate it and ran up the ladder. They didn't attack me at all, a lot of the enemies attacks are randomized, same as their "expressions" like jack standing and giggling in the garage.

The combination of them spawning and loading, then the possibility that they miss with their puke can let you up the ladder instantly, thats luck though.

I asked Cursed yesterday actually if on his data mining travels he's ever come across them or that in future if he did happen by them It'd be fantastic to know them. Theres the potential we can like you said Liv just view it in a cheat engine though; I'd really like to know them

The amount of time spent crouching and moving in game is negligible; you can use the shoes for NG+ runs sure, but if you compare it with the time to take them out, put them pack in or delete them in the inventory when you need the space you start to come into perhaps non-existent time saves, I haven't tested whether there are enough crouch areas to make it useful though

At first I was wondering how this was exactly supposed to help you in the mines but toward the end you cleared that up. The concept of what we can potentially do with this is brilliant. The criteria for this kind of OOB opens up possibilities for a lot more OOB tricks; perhaps more accurate or useful ones than what we have now, although people are making good progress already. Nice find

In terms of console/PC, I change what I said previously about merging the two as i noted before. They should be kept separate for a variety of reasons, turning speed not being one of them. We've already made strides with OOB clips and if they do prove to be a timesave they aren't possible on console; and from what we've seen of the lucas video skip I can't replicate it on PC, so if a glitch like that is console only then another difference for separation.

When it comes down to controller and sensitivity, as I've said before consoles are perfectly capable of using a keyboard and mouse

I preordered on PC and god madhouse first time. NG+ isn't meaning "needs to have played through a set amount of times previously"

Heck you can just download a save with everything on it and never have played through the game before

Knife only is supposed to be that, its really knife and healing unless the game requires a weapon use from you. I don't think any NG+ items nor pre-order bonusses should be allowed; that includes defense coin, scrolls, shoes, supply box. The only thing I could say is the equivalent is on madhouse you can unlock the attack and defense coins.

If we're going to allow coins or scrools and whatnot, there should be a NG and NG+ category divide for knife only too.

The idea of NG+ is you're starting the game with whatever bonuses the game provides after beating it. You can beat the game on madhouse and unlock like, everything straight away, so your next run is NG+.

I think it's a little too picky to start going into those kinda of terminologys

Ive tried my last trick, im still getting nothing; if only he were trying to do the glitch then he might know what caused it. At this point we don't know if something way back in his playthrough potentially caused it, but that's so much to test.

It's not even like he did anything in particular by accident either; he just walked around, sat down from the right and literally "didnt press a single thing". I'm all out of ideas, unless someone can do it, might just be a game fault

Oh dang really? Every single time i've tried to get close with the knife she eats me, and well since i could never do that part i was assuming its near impossible to hit her when shes in the sky; in which case if its just the albert then yeah, its literally the end game trigger with the weapon.

Liv's right; you literally can't beat her, with the first part she will just 1 hit kill you when you get to close, and the second part she's well, way too high in the sky to melee her. My only question to the mods I suppose is if we're allowing weapons in general to beat eveline or just the pistol; and if it's pistol alone, is enhanced ammo allowed.

Yeah i think Ste's right, I've been trying for literally hours to replicate this skip, down to changing FPS, inventory, weapons, pathing, walking, running, shooting while entering video, literally so many parameters and I have yielded nothing. I've only got one trick left which I'm going to try now, but the only thing I will say is: I'm doing it on PC, not console, it may be entirely possible for console to replicate but we'd need somebody to try it.

The question begs though, if it is entirely random, is it a counted run? I know it's perhaps unfair to disqualify a run purely based on the fact that something random happens; but if its not a planned or replicatable is it a legit strat? I know it hasn't happened in a run yet and it most probably never will but its something to think about

As far as grenades go it'd need to be tested, and even if we found it was correct im wondering where it might even save time; with the melee sure we already know a timesave, with grenades I dunno. Im going to get on testing if we can even get inside jack during the chainsaw fight, and if we can if we can hitbox the shit out of him.
