Is there a board looking to be added for this new title?
There are already systems set in place to take care of runs such as these, and plenty of other high-score based games on the site use the same verification methods.
Also high score games are banned, not high score categories*
You are right, it would take longer to verify, but runs would still be held to the same level of scrutiny. Runners would just have to know that their runs would be in queue longer for a high score run than for other categories.
Maybe once the queue is taken care of, we can look into adding more categories.
Sort of a tangent from this, but this would be a great addition, in combination with some supporter-only username colors. My main issue with the animation currently is that a lot of the colors seem too similar for the animation to really pop.
Was coming to report the same thing as @YUMmy_Bacon5
Game covers are too small on mobile, any cover that has text, the text is too small to read
Positive feedback: changing the latest runs from "11 hours ago" to "Today" is a really good improvement. The home page looks a lot more clean on mobile as well
Something I'm confused about: every couple hours, a page appears that says "Error loading runs" or something along those lines. Is that directly tied to this beta feature, or is this a site-wide issue?
Hey everyone, it's that time of year again, and we are back with the second event of the bi-annual Run Week! For those of you new to this event, we put this together in the Farmington community to boost the activity of smaller, lesser known games on the site, as well games with empty categories.
Over the course of this event week (July 17th-23rd), we will be tracking the amount of runs which are submitted by users who decide to participate, and see who can rack up the most runs over this time period. It's going to be a fun event that anyone and everyone can jump in on, and there's no minimum to the amount of runs you can submit either, so this should be a great opportunity to test games outside of your comfort zone.
There is a small adjustment to this run week as opposed to the previous event, which is, Full Game runs will be the focus of this event. The overall winner will be the user with the most full game submissions by the end of the week. Individual level submissions will still be tracked, and an honorary 1st place will go to the user with the most overall runs submitted.
What we do not allow: WE DO NOT ALLOW OR APPROVE OF SPAM SUBMISSIONS OF ANY KIND!!!! We will be tracking submissions for users competing in this event, so if we find any sort of spam, you will be removed from the event. We also do not prefer to have hoarding at the start of the event. We do have methods to catch hoarders, and if caught, will have those runs removed from the count.
I hope users here find interest in testing out some new genres of games over the week, and give the event a shot!
