Ok, so again here we are witnessing xein go in first, then youtubeman, then the TAS, do you notice a trend?
Watch the video frame by frame. @ 0:26 xein enters pipe first, then youtubeman, then the TAS. @ 0:30 xein exits first, then youtubeman, then the TAS, exactly how they entered the pipe. Again if you are making the claims that he is cheating please compile some evidence and show proof. Saying that he did it faster than TAS or just simply stating "it's bullshit!" isn't exactly proving that he cheated?
https://discord.gg/786bQHD Here's the discord for any discussion towards the speedrunning of the game AMID EVIL.
It's annoying that you can't open it with middle mouse button but ctrl + left click works just fine.
I didn't say you shouldn't stream you runs, I said you that you shouldn't just stream them, as in streaming shouldn't be the only way the run is being recorded. OBS has options to both stream and locally record. I don't stream much but I usually stream with OBS and if I have a good run I just clip it with Shadowplay, personally.
Yeah I would advise against just streaming your attempts, if you are going for a WR I'd say for your own sake and sanity you should be making local recordings too. Nothing worse than that feeling of finally beating a record but not having a sufficient enough video clip to submit as the new WR.
I like how theres a random dota rage clip in the video that's not even related to speed running at all. This was linked on the speedrunning subreddit and after I watched it all I could think was "Why did I just watch a pewdiepie video because reddit told me to?"
Can I ask what's the real point of adding placeholder runs? Rather sure nothing about the categories behave any differently having a run submitted in it or not and all it does is just make the View All Levels Leaderboard page look a bit unsightly, filling about a quarter of it up with no name 001 ms times. Marking the category as redundant doesn't make sense either, most of the obtain diamonds runs don't even include glitches but none are allowed into the set seed glitchless category? Just having a hard time understanding the practicality of this.
tcd I think you are confused at what video OP was talking about, he's referring to the 128 tick records, while what you describe for comments is on the 64 tick record.
I think the cut off is for sexually explicit games, there are quite a few ultra violence titles on the site so I think those are ok for the most part.
Check out DUSK, Episode 1 Any% takes roughly 4-5 minutes and Episode 2 Any% takes roughly 7-8 minutes once you learn the routes. There are also a lot of IL's to attempt records for if you get burnt out on full episode runs.
Just saying it's even less worthwhile to delete your post after people respond to it because the thread is still here, it just doesn't start with the original post it did, thus confusing people that have never read the thread before.
I actually had the thoughts that this game shouldn't belong on the site the moment I seen the first accepted runs on the front page of the site, glad to see it was held up to the standards of game submissions like various declined visual novels before it.
Yeah honestly I've been seeing a fair few number of games lately that have mods with 0 runs and 0 posts on the account. Having hard times telling why the super mod would mod these people some times lately.
Just saying that Youtube actually has frame by frame support built in, if you pause a video you can advance by one frame by hitting the . (period) key or reverse by one frame by hitting the , (comma) key.
I think it would help make more sense if the delete post button was only an option when there are no replies to the thread yet, would save a lot of threads like this one popping up without a starting post.
like lordorjun said people already utilize this skip but someone did a comparison video of the fastest chimney skip splits and fastest chimney splits and doing it normally is still faster
Dusk is a fun Quake-like clone that takes under 10 minutes to complete each episode it currently has individually, very fun to speed run for any twitch shooter gamer that has an affinity for moving very fast.
I'm guessing that it just might be a very similar situation and Aveklépiay just copy and pasted most of the message for simplicity as he might not be a native English speaker, it's still personalized to a degree and contains a different game linked.
But it's still not speedrun-able, it would be like if people tried to put in speed runs for individual levels for Osu or DDR, there no time gain to be had and the only time loss is messing up and having to start over.
