Ask the series mods to add the game for you, or if there are no series mods, then you can request the game at a http://www.speedrun.com/requestgame

That is true, I should have phrased it that an auto splitter makes it more accurate than manually doing it

It should be noted that unless you run Livesplit with an auto splitter it is not the exact timestamp. Without an auto splitter it's manually controlled by the streamer so it's subject to human error on starting and stopping (but it's usually very minimal).

Corbeilledu93, currently the CoD boards are going through some restructuring in regards to moderation. Last I heard, the Admins/Full Mods were working on a solution that should hopefully be in place soon. You're not alone in waiting for a run to be verified, but right now just wait it out.

Red_Pool, they mean to post in the game's forums. Moderators usually follow the forums for their games and will get notifications when a new post is made. So making a forum post may alert the mod. If you make a post and after a few days you get no response, then your request for mod will probably be granted.

It does, thanks a bunch. I'm well versed in Unix and I'll take a look at the IDA disassembler and give that a shot. I was using PS2DIS but it's pretty garbage to be honest for disassembling the ELF files. I'll also take a look at the PS2SDK project - did you just find that with a quick Google search?

What tools do you use to disassemble and search though PS2 games?

Im working on a project that involves doing that and Im curious if there are better tools out there than what Im using.

Make a post here http://www.speedrun.com/The_Site/thread/63nr7 but make sure to read the rules of the thread before posting.

Basically, if possible, reach out to the moderator on any social media/contact links they have on their profile to see if you can reach them before asking to be made mod of the game.

Not really any "universal rules" (aside from "don't cheat" I guess) but if you go to the page for the game you want to run

If you're recording from console, you need a capture card to capture the game feed. An affordable and high quality for consoles like the PS2 or earlier is the gv-usb2. You can find it for sale on most sites like amazon and ebay, and there are tutorials on how to install the drivers for it (they are in Japanese but it only requires 2 clicks so it's hardly a difficult thing).

Backwards compatible PS3s are a unique case in a number of communities. While it is not explicitly emulation, it usually saves a huge amount of time in loading (some cases of up to a minute or more every hour). As a result of this, communities might ban the use of the console or will delegate to a Misc. category. The reason for this is the massive amount of time save for a console that can be hard to come by and can be very expensive to purchase.

If you plan on running PS2/PS1 games on a BC PS3, I would highly recommend checking with the moderators of the game because they might have different rules regarding it (or they might have never considered it if nobody tried to run on it before).

Dude how many times do we have to tell you, if you have a problem with the MGS boards or how they are run, you need to talk to the mods of the game. We can't do anything here.

DJ-Wookie, that is a question/request for the game mods, not this thread. This thread is for requesting moderator on a game when the current mods have been inactive and non-responsive for 3+ weeks.

In some games the hardest difficulty can turn out to be the fastest, but those cases are usually fewer than games where the easiest difficulty is the fastest. Im not really sure what your point is about easy vs hard difficulty anyway.

Again, run whatever game on whatever difficulty you like and if you have an issue with the way LBs are handled for a game, bring it up with the LB mods.

the only way to currently get splits on a ps4 stream without a capture card is to use Remote Play which will allow you to play the games on your ps4 on your computer.

However it is very buggy and known to crash, sometimes frequently, so it is not recommended as a long term solution or for longer games. Your best bet is to invest in a capture card.

What is this accomplishing?

We've given you your answers, you've been nonstop hostile, and now you're just spamming your own videos in this thread.

Most gameboy games are played via the Gameboy player for the Gamecube.

For GBA games, aside from that, your other option is emulator (disclaimer idk if SMA4 allows emulator runs so check with the mods of the game first before going that route).
