The GBC version would have to be added as an entirely new game on the site since it is an entirely different game. One of the mods here could add the game.
Nice. This seems to have the same effect as ground pounding but this would be faster.
Splits.io splits don't load/show up anymore on the run page.
EDIT: Now they do for me, but they didn't before even after reloading the page multiple times.
EDIT 2: They don't show again. This may be some page bug? Sometimes they load sometimes they don't. This is an example where it didn't load for me multiple times, but also didn't load on others run pages https://www.speedrun.com/run/ydq1pewm
Here is a new link (someone said the old one doesn't work anymore): https://discord.gg/Kd8bD9r
This one should work (also updated it in Zanders post): https://discord.gg/MmDaehw
@ItsNiklass Any video of that? The video you linked is a full 503 moons run.
I doubt there is any significant load time difference which would need separate categories for different versions. This would be extremely arbitrary, 1-2 subcategories should be the most a game should have (except some exceptions). And runs also won't change to ingame-time since the difference is probably insignificant and nobody wants to retime 300+ runs. If there is actually some kind of difference then runners will switch to the faster version if they feel like the timesave is worth it. PS: Physical version IS the cartridge version. What you mean is Cartridge (physical version) and digital version.
Either get used to motion controls or just play without them. We can't have different categories for every tiny thing.
Sub 1:10 Should be possible with more optimization. Sub 1 will happen in the first half of next year with more optimization and more skips found.
I really don't care and I kinda like how it is now but I also like the idea of naming 253 moons "Dark Side" and 503 moons "Darker Side".
Read the rules of each category, that should give some clearance. Yeah, 124 Moons is Any%. I'm guessing "Any%" is there as a misc category in case some sequence breaks will be found which could skip requiring 124 Moons to beat the game. EDIT: And as HowToCantaloupe said, apparently Amiibo, Assist Mode and 2p are banned for 124 Moons.
As a regular mod you can pretty much do everything a super mod can do except deleting the game and adding/removing other mods.
We definitely will, just post suggestions of what category you think would be good (and maybe why). I'll also ask ZanderGoth what he thinks what categories could get added.
Sadly the PAL version seems to be super hard to find online. I only have the German PAL ISO, which I converted directly from my own copy (CD) of the game to my PC. You can look up on YouTube how to convert it to your PC (in the .bin/.cue format) if you have a DVD drive. If you won't be able to do that at all we can talk further. EDIT: Here is a tutorial:
@PoomersKJT Which barrier skip do you mean? Do you mean the gate skip in the very first level (Where you get most of the powerups) or the door clip in the next level?
