Yup, felt like we reunited at the same time haha. For the PS4 users out there....is the leaderboards working for you guys at all? For whatever reason it says I need to sign in to continue and it never goes past that

With that Scrabania skip, I used to just use that Chant Suppressor glitch to skip the entire first section, including the first pit skip.

With this little "saving your jump" trick, I think it should make that section easy and save time. I'm about to practice that area now.

Edit: Yup, that skip is so god damn easy now lol.

Oh, forgot to mention. I found another glitch. If you restart a checkpoint as you're exploding something with your bombs, whatever blew up won't come back as it should unless you restart a checkpoint again afterwards. I don't know how that'll come into play, but it's something to note. Maybe this could be a way to save bombs for more than just 3 uses? I'll have to test it out.

Hey guys. Just recently started playing this again. I think I've caught on to the whole coin jump glitch and why it's sometimes hard to pull off.

I've found that its significantly easier to do the coin jump when you jump at least once before hand. Whenever I don't jump before hand, I'm way more prone to failing it.

Another factor is where Abe is positioned in the level, i think. Wherever the game registers Abe getting ready to jump off an edge, it tries to measure in how few or far it'll allow Abe to jump, and sometimes won't allow Abe to coin jump based on where you jumped the first time.

I'll try to make a video to explain. All I know is though, the bottomless pit skip on Paramonia isn't the bane of my life anymore.

Yea, I gotta get back into this game myself. Been missing it and wanna put these tricks into use in a full run.

I was just wondering since I've just got into the mood lately and wanted to know if there's any competition, any go to guys to watch, etc.

Hmm, do you guys see a bottle cap frozen in midair when you do the trick? And just to be clear, you have to be in invincibility mode first before you can get the float glitch going properly.

So the order would be:

Perform the Invinc. Glitch Perform the Float Glitch (Restart the checkpoint as soon as you press the throw button while aiming) Restart the checkpoint to see if the bottle cap is frozen in mid air when respawning (This means Float Glitch works) Run jump into a wall Teleport when you see Abe's arms going outwards as he begins to land on the ground (You don't need to be frame perfect, but don't wait too long or start too early) If all done correctly, you will be in the standing pose after teleporting which you can then run or jump out of.

Also, making Abe aim after the glitch is already in set cancels the glitch. Hope this clears things up. If it still doesn't work then that sucks then. Wouldn't be the first time a glitch won't work right on PC version.

You gotta do the "float glitch" first, then you just jump into a wall (you still have to time when to teleport but it's much simpler. Try teleporting Abe after the first couple of frames of him falling down). I get it on my first try every time.

New Jersey, USAStriCNYN310 years ago

If you skip Scrabania, does it save all the Mudokons for you too?

New Jersey, USAStriCNYN310 years ago

You just walk over them. The last three are the ones that are on the foreground that you need to jump over.

For the console players out there

New Jersey, USAStriCNYN310 years ago

Aww, that sucks really hard =(

Well at least I can help you guys out with this new strat that I've found. The reason that I was able to get the wall slam trick to work for the portal skip is because you actually have to glitch out Abe's bottle cap throw animation with the teleport glitch first in order for the wall slam trick to be consistent.

For whatever reason, it make's Abe's fall physics very floaty if you restart the checkpoint as you're about to throw the bottle cap. You'll know you did the glitch right if you see the bottle cap frozen in mid air while Abe is respawning and then see abe gently falling while laying straight after a wall slam.

This will result in giving you more time to jump out of the teleport when you fall.

New Jersey, USAStriCNYN310 years ago

Tsss man I wish any of these tricks were practical on the console version =( Edit: wow, my wish has been granted lol.

If you just slam Abe into a wall while in mid air, you have way more of a chance to get the frames you need for the teleport glitch to detect abe landing allowing you to jump while falling.

Also, there's one thing I want to know. How are you guys able to get the invincibility glitch to work in Paramonia? Abe never even gets to load for me for whatever reason.

New Jersey, USAStriCNYN310 years ago

Oh, I know how to do the invincibility glitch, it's just that whenever I try to save a mudoken, like say just talking to them, the game just crashes lol.

Is this glitch only usable for any % runs?

New Jersey, USAStriCNYN310 years ago

man, i cant even get Rupture farms to work without it crashing whenever i'm trying to do the invincibility glitch. Am I missing something here?

New Jersey, USAStriCNYN310 years ago

Here's part 2 of Rupture Farms using rtsmarty's strat at the end.

New Jersey, USAStriCNYN310 years ago

I think I found a little easier way of getting the bomb glitch to work more consistently. If I'm not going crazy, right when the last ticker goes off, buffer your skip with walking first. I just got it like 3 times in a row as im typing this now actually lol

Also nice job on figuring out the invincibility stuff guys. This game's coming a long way.

New Jersey, USAStriCNYN310 years ago

Hmmm, I'm really feeling that skip in Rupture Farms. Worst comes to worst, I think you just fall down where the lever is at and pick up where you'd normally leave off. seems like a good pay off to try that at least twice.

That sucks that you can't use the suppressors for what's essentially the same trick, though. You even moved away from the ledge and tried the glitch, right?

New Jersey, USAStriCNYN310 years ago

I'm gonna be doing larger breakdowns of levels instead since I'm too rusty to complete full levels at the moment =P. Here's what I got going on for Rupture Farms' 1st half.

New Jersey, USAStriCNYN310 years ago

That's pretty nice rtsmarty haha. Not once have i thought to just sneak in the beginning. Can the mudokons not follow you if you pass through that door? I'm wondering if you even have to travel back to the Slogs.

Also looking forward to the run, Shade. I feel the RF strat should make that section easier as you don't have to go through 2 passes of the sped up grinder.

When I get home in a couple hours, I'm gonna be redoing my RF 100% run with new strats. Do you guys include the loading times here? I've noticed that some load times just go by faster than others for whatever reason. Is that a console difference type situation?

New Jersey, USAStriCNYN310 years ago

For that security section in Stockyard, It's definitely faster when you get the right sequence than if you go through that section normally, because not only are you running and walking in parts where you're supposed to sneak, you can make it to the bottom Motion Sensor in time, which kills 2 birds with one stone by killing the Slig and destroying the Mine, in which case you don't have to worry about the Mine when you come back from the secret area.

I haven't tested enough if one were too slow to perform the glitch in time for the security sequence, but I think one should be good if they were. It's all a matter of setting up the Slig with that bottom Motion Sensor off in time to kill the Slig with the Mine, because that's really where you can shave some time off. If you miss that opportunity, you can get stuck with the Slig walking back and forth before hitting a bomb.

Then again, looking at your run, maybe one could distract the Slig with coins long enough where they can reach the Motion Sensor in time and not lose nearly as much time in comparison?

For the 2 Sligs sneaking section in Stockyard. The glitch is also a much faster method. I even purposefully made a mistake in getting the glitch the 1st time to show how much time it shaves off in comparison with a normal run.

Yea, the last 2 Coin Jump in Scrabrania should be obsolete now, since someone found how to skip an Elum honey eating section or something of that sort.

I've been able to get the glitch down consistently so once one can get that down, it can really shave time, I think more so in the 2 Slig sneaking section than the security section.
