@VyPr I'm not saying they're better speedruns, but often times they're very beginner friendly, which most people starting do like. I also said it can help to check for a specific platform if you want that, but generally anyone asking the question 'what do I run' will enjoy a popularly run game a lot more than something with little information from my experience.

@paratrooper44 livesplit should have an option to force on top, by using that you'd be able to see it while in fullscreen, as for why it wouldn't record, have you tried using screen/game capture instead of possibly window capture?

And merki says he wont return to modding them anytime soon, as mentioned on the thread, it's an aftermarket product, the $450 pricetag is what it was when it was available. Can you get me goanja's pricing? I couldn't find it on his twitter. @Pear thanks for the update, included that. @Quivico finally added the 'el cheapo' that you suggested a few months back.

Even if I'm not using one, I think the xbox 360 controller layout looks good.

I'd recommend saying using 'insert site here' is preferred, but others are allowed and will result in slower strats or something. Basically just warn people that some sites are worse.

I can only vaguely remember what low specs were 6 years ago, genuine respect for the creator of this thread.

Main thing for most people is the mechanics. Simple to learn, hard to master is the most fun any speedrunning gets (SM64/Minecraft for example).

It helps if it: -Has an optional in game timer (make this off by default for normal players) -Looks good -Is also just a good and fun game

@ely_ anything where you need extensive runtime. I've only personally seen 1 case of this so far.
