you could add the retroscaler2x (used with an hdmi card) as an option to capture anything composite/s-video/component.
its a retrotink knock off but it works quite well and costs less than 50€

i mean you can just click the "games" button at the very top of the website no matter what page you are on.
"mod only leaderboards" is the dumbest thing ive heard and i didnt read the original post.
one reason there are multiple mods on games is that the other mods can verify the other mods runs so unless the community is small and there is only one mod they wont be verifying their own runs.
cant say i understood what you said but nothing is stopping you from "speedrunning" livesplit if you really want to
dont give the reasons to us. give them to the mods who add games. there is a box specifically for this in the game submission form.
but these all sound like category extensions (extremely arbitrary goals often jokes) and not real full game categories (like you know any% or 100%) which id say is why they are not enough. though they dont sound like full game categories because they arent them as there is no "full game" in something that never ends
make sure you are comparing against "personal best" and that you are using "real time". these can be found under "compare against" when you right click livesplit
the game is a bit too short for me to enjoy but i was bored and its 3am so i made an autosplitter. took like 5 minutes.
starts timer when you hit space in the "main menu", splits after pressing space on a door and stops the time on the end screen. also automatically resets when you reopen the game
