For getting to 1.8.3 you need to patch down to 1.1, then put the 1.8.3 files from the resources section into the 110 to 160 folder, then patch to 160, which will now actually be 1.8.3 instead of current patch. This patch is only useful for UVHM runs, though, so if you're intending to run any other category you'll want to patch to 1.1 instead.
No, there is nothing that you can just copy and paste.
I added a short explanation under the guides section
Download and use xdPatcher-TPS.zip from here
On current patch you'll be missing out on bullpup glitch, putti glitch, and a small skip in Triton Flats. Biggest thing there is the bullpup glitch. Without that, you'll have a much more RNG dependent run because you won't consistently have a good weapon to use.
Just confirming for that 1% uncertainty that macros are definitely not allowed
Not sure why it's not working for you, then. Not many people check these forums regularly, so I would recommend trying to ask in the discord server. It's likely that someone there will be able to help you with the patcher.
As far as I understand it, you need to patch from 1.8.4 to 1.1, then back from 1.1 to 1.8.3 for it to work. Is this what you did?
You can find them in the resources section
If you want Krieg and UVHM you need to play on 1.8.3, 1.3.1 is only useful for all quests speedruns
Easiest definition of a boss that I can think of is anything with a boss health bar instead of a normal one
No DLC included in the category here on the leaderboard, but there's nothing stopping you from running it if you want to deal with the snoozefest that is the holodome
Even if you have the correct pointers from cheat engine, this is not correct syntax under the split section. I think you want something more like:
return (old.Levels < current.Levels || current.Hopper == 0);
As for cheat engine, if the addresses were green you're good to go on that front. Otherwise you'll need to use a pointer scan to find addresses that don't change on game relaunch.
Not too surprising, current patch timer is largely untested because hardly anybody runs it. Patch 1.1 is around an hour faster and the timer works fine as long as you're the game host, so I'd recommend switching to that
Never had that problem before, what patch are you running on?
All of those are done on patch 1.1
Cheats definitely shouldn't be allowed in any of the regular categories
