I think it's based of seconds, but 1 click is considered a 0 second win. Also couldn't fin a millisecond timer option.

Is it ok to submit as 1 second then have it changed by a mod after?

Because I clicked while holding f2, and I got one run where Just a flag showed on screen. I'm not sure if that even was a win or not, but it reset after a couple frames.

For 1 click beginner mode, is holding f2 for constant restarts the main strat? Or will it skip the end screen and/or invalidate the run?

@DaSmileKat, that’s cool, is there any specific place to do a 4th bump? I do one on the first wall before the mushroom, one on the wall next to the mushroom, and one on the top question block already

@electricpants @Capt.Azure yeah, my main end goal is sub 5. Is 380 still not important for that or should I learn it? Thanks for the help on the wrong warp btw, it really helped. But yeah, is 380 necessary for sub 5 or not?

also having trouble with quickly coming to a stop on the wrong warp pipe in 4-2 if anyone knows how to help with that

Hey guys! I recently started practicing smb any%, and am working on the first four levels right now. I was having some trouble with getting 380 on the timer after the coin room in 1-1, are there any techniques I should know about to help getting it?

@RandomTed the only thing that is counted in that list is selecting the next kingdom. Talking to cappy, cutscenes and loading screens are already timed so all we have to worry about is selecting a kingdom, which I highly doubt would take 5+ minutes

Easily possible. Well... not easily but if you add all the best individual level segments from speedrun.com in a minutes and seconds calculator, you get that (approximately) 55 minutes is possible
