I dont get why meta knight being the best is a problem though if he is because then if birdon is the best then what is the point of meta knight. I think there might always be a truly optimal character so I don't see why meta knight is a problem

I think it should be split up into free update characters and original characters (including dedede, meta knight, dee)

Long Answer: Although I think Video is still more cheat safe, I kind of think that Image proof is fine for WR on Ultimate Choice. It would suck if someone was used to image proof and then they end up getting WR and they didn't record and then they couldnt submit their run for WR even though they should get it. So I would say Image Proof is fine because everyone else is allowed image proof too.

Idk what all this other stuff is about, but a solo (in terms of no allies) category for Soul melter would be interesting

First of all probably route.

Second of all Blade Knight does not move faster. Shuttle loop thingy move with Fire Meta Knight is faster or just dashing with bluster meta knight. (i dont really know the answer but there is no way blade knight is faster than meta knight in movement)

I still have no clue even how to do the bomb ablitity even with watching all these vids, makes no sense to me.

so? The Arena on soul melter is basically beating the game though cause Void Soul is technically the final boss.

In response to Demolition's quote, then why is Guest Star its seperate category, thats not beating the game either.

Probably cause the Arena type things in Kirby games have always been placed under misc. although I really don't think it should.

B31JS, same, all you have to do is put the analog stick in a direction, and not half way, and it dashes

I'm actually kind of confused why people have had trouble with dashing but maybe im just used to it

well idk who you are using but for meta knight you just gotta attack him while he's down into the second phase

if you are using meta knight with bluster sword:

when he gets hit into second phase attack him a couple times and then adjust yourself and space properly

then when the darkness pulses in him spam dash aerial while being close to the ground (don't spam fast enough that you go to high)

then since he will appear in middle upper stage, dash and start spamming dash aerial and if you do it right you should be at the very top of the stage and he should die right before he multiples

takes a lot of practice and sometimes i feel like the allies screw you over by not helping as much, but with practice you should be able to get it eventually

also don't get too hung up on being 16th and getting bumped down, speedrunning is just for fun (i hope) and you can always improve

-Get the King Dedede, Meta Knight, and Hyness skips (I actually got my time without the Dedede skip) (not sure if Meta Knight's is really a skip but get him before he multiplies) -Get really good at spacing and imputs to maximize DPS -Lots of practice

Ice King Dedede and Bluster Meta Knight are probably the best options, using CPU's is up to you as it can work both ways.

Personally I use Bluster Meta Knight with CPU's (2 more Bluster Meta Knights and a Birdon)

Not sure if this is exactly one of the options but my personal opinion is every character including update ones all combined in one group , but ban Kirby. As much as I would like them split up, I think it would just be too much.

Although none of them in my opinion are too bad except Void Soul.

In terms of speedrunning though I feel like Pon and Con / Goldon and Silvox, and Hyness can screw you up the most in terms of time if you aren't careful.
