Followers are allowed these days and the categories you're talking about have been there for a long time (check misc categories)
Basically time should be started with the start of movement in game, so you are correct
I'll add the other class categories and move the runs to each respective category afterwards. This will take a while since i'm currently on a tight schedule.
I have talked about this before and personally i'm not a supporter of the idea. I can set the category up though if more people have interest in the idea.
Hadn't thought of that earlier, but it's extremely hard to obtain a set in this run though. Unless people have more opinions on this no changes to the rules will be made.
I set up the 2p console category. Please inform me if you are looking to run with more than 2 players.
I looked into this also when i ran the game and you are right. There are only a set number of locations for many places to be on a map, but i also never found info on act 5.
Monk just does it all better. Dashing strike is a lot better than leap, and monk gets 10% movement speed from passives at lvl 10.
if anyone is willing to run coop on console i'll be glad to add that as a category
thanks for bringing this up. wasn't aware there was something like this for console. from now on Infernal Pauldrons are banned from use.
You can drop items without stopping so it is actually faster that way.
How are you supposed to clear anything as a lvl 70 without any items?
@Ouga Starting the timer when pressing start game makes a difference due to load times and the current rules allow people to add the cosmetic items if the choose to do so. I do agree on the no pausing idea now. Before there were so little runners on the game and it didn't feel like such a bad thing back then. I will change this now.
@dylan8915 unfortunately no. There is no way to verify that all rules were followed without reviewing a video of it. If you have a xbox one or ps4 i do believe those consoles can be used to stream, so then you could just submit the twitch vod.
@dylan8915 i suggest using google to find a solution. i have no experience on recording with consoles.
@dylan8915 make sure to check out the resources section on the top bar of the page. There you can find software for recording and timing. OBS is a simple recording tool that many people use.
I'll add a strategy section and as for your question I think that in the end it doesn't make a difference. Starting on hard takes a little longer and gives you dashing at an earlier part of the game. Mostly it will come down to which enemies you actually kill and which you skip. Playing on hard for too long does affect your time though so you want to be sure to switch it back down quite early.
Created a console category. Currently under misc, will be moved once a run is accepted into it.
