On Samsung S7, I use the native recording app and sometimes DU Recorder to record my games. Each has its perks. For the timer, I use a simple app called floating timer. It can get in the way of your playing, so make sure its in a good spot before you start recording.
On Amazon Kindle, I use SmartPixel to record, upload to Facebook, download, and add a timer in a video editing software called ShotCut. I'm not sure if this specific game is on that device, though.
If you have a different way of recording and timing, please share!

Two suggestions: Around the World in 80 Days -- my record is around 24 minutes, but I have no idea how to record gameplay Barbie's Magic Genie Adventure -- favorite GBA game, hands down. So much fun.

Hey y'all!
I'm down to make Any% and 100% categories for weeks and months if there is interest. Week would go from left -> right on the calendar for seven days (approx 1.5 hour speedrun). Month would span an entire calendar page (approx 6 hour speedrun).
If anyone is daring enough to try these categories, let me know!

Edit: For WAY more help finding resources, join the Mobile Speedrunning Discord and ask any user what they use! https://discord.gg/D5gZYrs Edit 2: Timer is now not required for this leaderboard as we are using Slush's Retimer for all retiming. https://github.com/Slush0Puppy/retime
This might be a cool pic for the page :D
Looking to be added as a super mod to https://www.speedrun.com/Leap_Day
Reasoning:
- Mod has been offline for a month.
- Mod has not properly set up the leaderboard. It is impossible to submit a valid run (requires the addition of 15 players for some reason).
- Rules for running are not clear or specific.
- Mod left no method of contact.
- No runs exist on the leaderboard.
- I have experience modding 30+ games, including mobile games like Leap Day.
If the moderator returns, we can moderate together. I just want to clean up the board and make it easy for players to submit their runs.
Rice God: The_Munch, with a time of 1:13:16.4!
Thank you all for contributing to meals for our 8th person!
Challenge #8 https://www.speedrun.com/Free_Rice#Language_Learning
I'm SUPER PROUD to announce that our community of 14 runners has fed our 8th person on freerice.com!!!
In honor of this milestone, we challenge you to learn a new language! You have until Monday morning to submit a 10,000 grain run in the French category. See the Challenge Hall of Fame: https://www.speedrun.com/Free_Rice/thread/txr09
Thanks for helping a good cause! PLAY NOW! http://freerice.com/#/french/
I told Free Rice about what we are doing! They like the idea -- however, they said to keep in mind that if we answer questions before ads appear, no rice is donated. In cases where blue text appears without an image, don't worry, rice is still donated!
If possible, play with a fast internet speed. This can help you get better times and ensures that ads will appear in a timely manner.

(The video link I gave her was to check if the blue text ads still counted)
The_Munch completes our first run with a time of 12:28.6!
And Munch takes the win!
Record and RICE GOD title are still up for grabs! Come and get it!
JayJane, thank you for posting this on the forum. You are absolutely right, there is too much negativity. My positive moment from this week was returning to college and starting classes! Loved seeing my friends as well.
I've also been invited to join the board of the gaming community at my college, with a focus in speedrunning! I plan on educating about speedrunning, encouraging gamers to run their favorite games, and hosting watch parties for speedrun streams. If anyone else is doing something similar at their school, hit me up!
Hey Munch! I'm running two back-to-back challenges. Here's the first: https://www.speedrun.com/Speedrunning/thread/6cips/1#7i4db
The second one is in your honor -- let me know what subject and grain count you would like (preferably an unconquered category). We can't do endurance runs as challenges yet (until we find a good way to set scalable WRs), but I'm really excited to host those once we have it all figured out!

We've done a great job raising rice through speedruns! Now we've fed 7 people!
