Being single with no kids with no real intent to ever have any definitely helps. Usually if I am short on time, I work on short runs, but I usually only stream longer stuff on the weekend and the occasional free night.

Welcome and gl on your run!

discussione: The Site

Thanks. I've added them. If the Coupe ever comes up, I'll post it.

Also, I forgot on the list:

Commodore CDTV

I think that's the last I can for the game, and it also appears to not be on the list yet. Can add now or later (if ever needed), either way.

discussione: Lemmings

Hello. Due to the overwhelming number of Lemmings games, each which a great deal of variant platforms in which to be played. I'll be adding Lemmings games on an on-demand basis. If you'd like on to be listed, please let me know here so I can do the necessary research to create a game page. Having a run ready always help. Feel free to post directly in this thread. Thanks.

discussione: Lemmings

Due to the overwhelming number of versions of this game, and the fact that they all slightly vary from one another in a number of ways, I will be adding each console as a category on an on-demand basis. If you'd like to run this game on any console not currently listed, please let me know in this thread so I can do the appropriate research to create things correctly.

So, I just started up Lemmings series. It appears the original Lemmings has been ported on so many things. Ignoring the difficulty of sorting through all the various versions and figuring out the best way to organize them, I notice a number of consoles I had found with the game aren't let listed. I'm not sure it's really necessary to add them now, or if it would just be better to wait until someone actually does a run on those consoles, but figured I'd throw them out there.

Apple II 65 (Not sure if this qualifies as just general "Mac"?) Atari Lynx FM Towns SAM Coupé

The last two, I can't even find emulators of those old computer systems, so I'm not even sure if they are worth adding?

Also, it looks like there are two different NEC PC88's.

I'd do a run if it got added.

Nvm, just realized I can edit them, just has to be submitted again. Sorry about that Wuzi.

I forgot to mark [EMU] on some of my runs. Can someone edit that real quick? Sorry for inconvenience.

FUNNY that, I got a game approval right as I checked this comment. I got a visit from the AbandonedSatan Game Request Approval Fairy.

Looks cool. RTS runs are fun.

You have to submit a new game request so it can be added. Forewarning though, it takes some weeks.

Looking at a bit more, I can see the case for seperation:

NES: "The game's single-player Story mode has the player taking control of one of the four Turtles (Leonardo, Raphael, Michaelangelo, and Donatello), as they hold a contest amongst themselves to see who is fit to take on Shredder's challenge. After defeating the first three opponents, the player proceeds to fight Casey Jones and then Hothead (a character based on the Dragon Warrior from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Adventures comics and the action figure of the same name) before the final match with the Shredder."

SNES: "The SNES version of Tournament Fighters is sometimes sold under the unofficial title Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles V: Tournament Fighters[1] in order to continue the numbering from the earlier Turtles games released on the Nintendo Entertainment System as well as the Super NES, and is often considered by fans as the last game in the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series.

In addition to the main and versus modes, there is a story mode in which the Turtles must rescue April O'Neil and Splinter from Shredder's clutches. The Turtles must travel across the US in their Turtle Blimp, defeating other fighters and collecting information. Only the four of them can be playable whereas the other characters (as well as a turtle clone) are the opponents. There is no Mutagen Meter in story mode. There is also a watch mode, which features computer controlled characters. There are ten characters available, and two bosses.

Genesis: The game has eight playable characters, which includes the four Turtles and Casey Jones, as well as April O'Neil (whose active role differs from the versions of the character featured in other games), Ray Fillet (a character from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Adventures comics), and Sisyphus (an original character, named Musha Beetle in the Japanese version). The player can adjust their power and speed after selecting their character...

The main single player mode features the turtles and their allies traveling to various planets in Dimension X, fighting against clones of themselves, as they seek to rescue Splinter from Krang. After defeating the eight clones, the player travel to the final three stages to fight against a Triceraton, Krang's Android, and Karai (in that order). The game has a two player mode, as well as a practice mode in which the player faces the computer in a 1-round match, and a "Tournament" where the player must defeat 88 opponents with one life gauge."

That seems like different games to me, in the way The Smurfs (GBA) and The Smurfs (Genesis) are different games. So yeah, I didn't realize a series already existed for the game. Contact the moderator as KomradeKontroll suggested, and you should be able to get that fixed.

discussione: The Site

It's the same game on three consoles, and the three consoles have their own categories already to reflect discrepancies in consoles?

In any case, I'd imagine you'd have to request two new games and a series; assuming that gets accepted, you'd then have to resubmit records off the original page (except the ones pertaining to that console you are going to use the original page for) to the other two pages, and then delete them off the original page. Or something along those lines.

discussione: Introductions

I just looked at Super Metroid, and in the rules, it does not appear that Bsnes is banned. Generally emulation bans are handled on a game by game basis, so the best thing to do is first check the rules in the game, and check the forums specific to the game and inquire with the mods there. This appears to be pretty common with SNES games: "ZSNES (all versions) and SNES9X (1.43 and below) are banned," so I'd imagine you are good. Some games look like they'd require you to screen capture the the part of you window that shows the name of the emulator you are using, so just be aware of that.

In any case, welcome and good luck!

EDIT: I guess I should probably note, that if for some reason the emulator is found to basically give some sort of advantage because it's emulation allows faster load times or something, don't be shocked if the run is rejected or something.

discussione: The Site

Yea, I don't see why not.

discussione: The Site

Well, you'll have to do a run first and submit when you request. You won't really have to describe all of this to the mods when you request. 6 years (I'm joking, calm down) from now when your game gets accepted, then you'll get a chance to sort of play with the functions to see what works best. While you wait, you can more or less get general rules together, figure out when timers should start and stop, that sort of thing. Once you got the leader-board all set up to something that seems workable and reasonable, you can submit your first run and see how it looks and stuff. And naturally if you run into something or a question or something, or sure I or anyone else with familiarly with modding will help as requested.

In the bottom left hand corner, you basically have an option for three different game plays, all slightly different.

Thinking about it, it probably would be easier to do Senterra as a single game, and then just list every single quiz they have as an individual level. A full-game run would be ridiculous, but you could make full-game runs like "10 American Quizzes" are something.

discussione: The Site

Lol, I'd give it a shot. Organizing it seems pretty painful though. I mean... seems like they would all technically their own seperate game within the series (and it looks like roughly 100 different games, basically). It looks like there are three options "Pin" "Place the labels" and "Type." Would those be separate categories or just variables on a single Any% leaderboard?

discussione: The Site

Preferably the majority of the games I intended to run already existed on the site and would already have moderators and rules and categories set up; but that isn't really the case, so, just learning as I go and being as cautious as possible and being open to suggestoins seems to be next best available option.
