found an old run of mine I want to submit but I had the glitched cannon. Not sure if that is allowed for IL's, or if it falls under cheats or no cheats. If someone could clarify for me that would be appreciated
Each category does have a set of rules attached. you need to click on the rules tab to see them.
Both of those cateories are pretty self explanitory.
UV is complete the segement as fast as possible.
UV Max is complete the segement with all kills and secrets.
And yes, Twitch links to your runs are acceptable, as long as they are set to never expire.
Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask, but google is giving me absolutely no useful answers, and the one and only guide I found on YouTube seems to be very outdated.
So I download a 100% save game file from online so I can practice stuff and not have to deal with playing through the game to unlock shit, but I'm having an issue.
I put the folders in the correct place, but for some reason it does not show up in game.
This kind of stuff isn't my strong point but I'm about 99% sure I'm doing nothing wrong, and it isn't working for no apparent reason.
If someone could help me I would appreciate it. The directions told me to just download the save, and put it in my savegames folder. Did that and still nothing in game.
Okay cool thank you
So I have a run of bfbb I removed a while back so I can retime it and never got around to it. Now that I remembered to do it, I'm not sure where to submit it. It was done the day after the game came out, the revision is 601240 and it was the physical copy of it. I remember them updating the game sometime close to release but I don't remember when. Based on the revision number I assume it's not 1.0, but if someone with more knowlege of it could help me out I appreciate it. Said run is here:
If you are speedrunning for praise and attention, you are speedrunning for the wrong reasons.
That is all I have to say.
I Highly doubt anyone remembers why you even left. I certainly don't lol
If you ever need any help with how to submit your video, timing methods, or any other kind of questions, you can always check other forum posts, or on the left side there is a guide section you can use. If none of that answers any questions you have, feel free to join our Discord. We are always glad to help out new people :)
Discord link is on the left side of your screen under resources and above streams.
While this isn't a Barbie exclusive Discord, there is a section for any and all Barbie games to chat in, and it is active. If you wish to join my server to discuss this game or anything relevant to it, feel free to join. Will post it here and have it on the left side as well for easy access.
To add, current runs on the board that do not have millisecond times will have them soon. I will be reviewing and retiming current runs to ensure accuracy.
I have changed the rules to require which emulator is being used to be noted in your description when submitting a run. I have also added categories for emulator runs as well, since load screens are affected by which one you use. Which ones should and shouldn't be banned will be determined at a later date when more investigation is done. Current runs on the board have been put in their respective categories.
Timing will also require milliseconds time as well, to ensure accuracy and to avoid ties if possible. In the event you are unable to retime yourself, just use 000 and we will retime it for you.
As the title says basically. PS2 and PS3 should be added in the event someone is running the game on that platform. Each platform can make a slight difference in performance, such as loading screens.
I second this. I have the PS version on the way. While I do have the N64 version, I'd like to run it on Playstation. But in the event it doesn't get added I'll just run N64.
Tip of the day: Strafe running towards the ledge is your best friend. Remember that. Gives you a better chance of making the jump.
You are in the right place. The 2019 re releases are what we call the Unity ports since they were made using the Unity engine.
For a full game run I can see a rule like this..
For a 3 min speedrun? It ain't that important where recording over 10 min. of credits is absolutely detrimental for my run to be considered legit.
That's kinda dumb. That's like saying "okay we see you did the run...but did you actually do it? Let's see the number at the end. That will prove you did this run legit"
I just fail to understand what this rule could possibly accomplish, unless I'm not seeing it.
