My "rival" would have to be @susuwi. We both compete in the game mobility. If you look at the leaderboards, it may not look like a lot of competition, since we mostly run different categories, and only run other categories to improve bad times or take a break from the main ones. However, outside of speedrun.com, there is very fierce competition. Individual Level runs are tracked on a spreadsheet instead of src, and IL competition is the most active.
There are 97 unique level categories, and despite other runners doing ILs, myself and susuwi together have all 97 records. Susuwi is honestly better at the game and more creative with routing, so he always has more records than I do. The balance is usually around 2/3 susuwi, 1/3 me. However, at one point susuwi managed to have 90 of the 97 world records at one time.
In the discord server, there is a #runs channel where people can post PBs. People post IL times there too. One thing that sometimes happens is one of us will get a time beaten, and then go back and beat that time again. In real time, this creates a "ping pong" match where both of us keep lowering the time. This competition usually ends with one runner getting a very optimized run of the level, and the other giving up and accepting defeat. It's fun to watch in real time.
The competition extends outside of mobility. When myself and @TCM were running a different game by the same developer, we talked about it in the mobility discord. Susuwi saw that and started doing runs himself. He got the world record and to this day, I still can't beat it.

There isn't any easy way to make information accessible to all game moderators without making it accessible to everyone. I'm not in favor of the public shaming but a collection of users and their ban reasons is a useful thing to have, and I think that making a thread like this isn't a terrible idea. The intent isn't to harass people.
@timbos468 is the only person I've caught intentionally cheating in any of the games I mod. He cheated by using mods to improve his times. He was caught, given a second chance, and then got caught cheating in another game. I don't know if he still speedruns, but I would advise people to be very careful when examining his runs. I don't believe any of the runs on his profile currently are faked, I rejected all of the suspicious times.
I guess I checked the wrong game, I just searched up "the hive" and clicked the first result
I'm going to make a support hub ticket with this, but I thought I'd also make it a thread so that people can discuss. I also believe that this has been requested in the past.
It would be really nice if moderators could choose what the default platform for a game is. In the game mobility, almost all of the runs are done on PC, and a few of them are done on web. There is one run that is done on a PSVita port of the game. Even though PC is the most common category, PSVita is the default platform for some reason, and there is no way to change it. A lot of the time runners forget to change the platform field when submitting a run, and if we could choose the default, we would get less frequent submissions with incorrect platforms and save everyone time and energy.
the mod definitely should have left a reason for the rejection, the best way to find out why is to message the moderator who rejected your run
the run you submitted only had a picture as proof, and the rules for the game say that all runs require video, that is most likely why
I do still speedrun, I just haven't had much time recently. The last speedrun I did was a meme run of a geometry dash clone. Before that, it was a meme run of a scratch game called "among us platformer 2". Neither of these took any effort. The last time I actually spent time running a good game was the valentines day google doodle. I did ILs for the game and got a couple of world records.
Unfortunately school has taken up a lot of time recently, I can still make time for some runs but not any long or difficult grinds.
bump this thread will never die
anyways found this in the rejected runs section of a game i mod https://www.speedrun.com/60sbr/run/z05k808m
