FYI I've taken off the RTA times and moved them in the notes of each run. It looks much cleaner like this in my opinion. Less confusing too.

I'd remove RTA from the entire leaderboard, personally. I think the fact it's there confuses some people and some people might not sure if it will one day change to RTA, but no, it will not. This game is IGT and IGT only. No need to smash the buttons between races, take a second to show your time visibly.
Just wanna add that since my previous message, Saulo and I have created a leaderboard for the Commodore 64 version of SMS Sonic 1 ( https://www.speedrun.com/sonic_c64 ) and I've included a Best Ending category. If we could have the same for this version, I'd run it immediately.
I also sent a DM to you @Phozon in November 2022 but still haven't heard back. And since Maman isn't around anymore, if you need help with the leaderboard, I'd be happy to help. I know how to verify those runs.
This challenge was EXTREMELY fun! This is exactly what Road Rash is all about! Hopefully some more people join in, I'd love to hear people's thoughts on it.
Just FYI I've updated the main icon, SRC logo and 4th place icon to make it look even more appealing. Hopefully you guys like it, if not, you can always revert back to what it was.
Hello moderators @SRK & @AlphaNerd! Since I created a leaderboard for "Turbo OutRun (Arcade)" May I suggest changing the name of the game to: "Turbo OutRun (Genesis)" (with capital letters on O and R). That would help with my OCD 😅 Thanks for considering!
I totally believe it @JFred99. There's the same thing happening on OutRun for Game Gear. On the Game Gear version, if you play "Passing Breeze", you'll save a full second in the first stage but also gain time in the subsequent stages.
So, this glitch seems to be acting the same way but doesn't seem to be music-related though and it's really annoying not being able to figure out what causes it.
If one day we were able to find a consistent way to reproduce it, maybe we could then remove the glitched category, but until then I think it's better to keep those runs separate, personally.

I was thinking about it today and thought to add Glitchless and Glitched categories. Glitchless would have to show a 57'68" or slower while Glitched would have to show a 1st split faster than 57'68".
I personally don't feel like spending all day trying to reproduce this rare glitch and I bet many of you wouldn't either.
But let me know, if you guys don't like it, I'll revert it back.

Really? Oh okay, I have no idea how that works. The only thing I know is that it adds ads on my video and gives money the money that channel, which is ridiculous.

Personally, I've been fighting those claims. Don't let that scammer illegally claim your videos.

Hey guys, wanted to revive this discussion as this is my favourite game of all-time.
I'm going to be running Max Special Bonus soon (I love that category), but I'd love a simple "Good Ending" category added because I love playing this game normally while getting all the emeralds on the way and not necessarily looking for all the 1-Ups and going through all Special Stages. I'd play a "Good Ending" category over and over again on my channel.
