I was wondering if anyone knew how to perform the gear gacha on Genesis. It's pretty easy to do on the Arcade version but I tried yesterday while streaming on Twitch and I can't pull it off on the Genesis version.

I know @takojaki seems to know how.

100% agree but that'd have to be approved by the 2 other mods @PeteDorr & @josef733 and that also means Gold and Silver would have to redo their runs. Might be too late to enforce this.

Still extremely weird to me that you have a female YouTube and Speedrun account with a stolen Google picture but your run does seem legit to me and I approved your run.

If you want a piece of advice, you should stop impersonating females if you want to acquire credibility, otherwise, don't be surprised if people question you. This is not "envy" or because "we don't like Russians". As a matter of fact, Eastern Europeans are usually awesome people and they make great Vodka. I also modified the title of this thread.

I call BS on that, sorry. There's a HUGE difference between not showing a face at all, and making your account a fake female account both on YouTube and Speedrun dot com with (what I assume is) a stolen picture from Google. What do you have to hide so bad? It doesn't make sense, no one does this. Because of this, everything still seems very sketchy to me.

"StinkySteven" is a youtube harasser/doxxer who just created an account to harass AlphaNerd, one of the most classy dude I've ever known. Please report that account and ignore.

You had a fake persona, no face or voice on video, no inputs, nothing to show those runs were legit. And now, finally, you're trying to give some proof, which you should've done from the start instead of creating an alt-account.

You are the one that had no proof, not us and it's your job as a Speedrunner to show proof your runs are legit.

That being said, now that you've finally shown yourself and your inputs, you can get your WR back as far as I'm concerned. But don't be mad at us for having questioned it, it was as sketchy as it gets.

PS: There's indeed a hidden run not showing on the leaderboard. In my profile it says I got Bronze.

I wholeheartedly agree with @AlphaNerd on this. Already, the YouTube account is sketchy from the start. It looks like a stolen profile picture from a relatively young lady born after this game was released, no face shown on video, no voice, no controller inputs, not recorded live and playing like this is either impossible for a human or require hundreds/thousands hours of attempts, if it's even possible. There's not one single thing that makes me think that that run is legit.

With all due respect, not sure if you're aware, but I see many uploads from Replay & Longplay channels in the leaderboards. Those are probably ALL Tool-Assisted runs. Those channels just upload TAS runs to have plenty of playthroughs on their channels, not for Speedrun dot com purposes, this is also why they don't upload anything here themselves.

Those runs shouldn't be on the leaderboard unless under a TAS category. I know for a fact AL82 Longplay and RX from Replay Burners are examples of TAS that shouldn't be there.
