Why wouldn't they add leaderboards for VC & Emu as well for the IWs?
Hello, a few months ago I submitted a few SM64 BOB runs, and they were all rejected only because it was not on the original Nintendo 64. So, here is my question. Why is VC & Emu not allowed for those categories? Is it because VC & Emu are inaccurate? If not, then I think the rules should be changed for the consoles allowed.
No Argument Intended.
Alright, it might just be the ROM I'm using. After all, the Title Screen doesn't show the board that says "Super Mario Bros. 2".
KingOf_JonnyBoy, let's just say the Framerule for now since I learned something from your post.
Oh, sorry. I'm talking about the FDS verison.
I'm wondering whether framerules exist in The Lost Levels. No matter how I play 1-1, I never have to wait 0.35 seconds more to get to the next level.
Sorry for the confusion. The video was taken down on Twitch and I'll try to re-upload it again and the other videos that you may not be able to see. But what may happen a lot in speedrunning these days is that some random person will look at the leaderboards, and submit a run without even playing the game in the first place. With that, video proof with a run is the only way moderators are sure that a run is legit. However though, there could be spliced runs as well that we will have to break up the video to make sure that it was a real run. I just want to play it safe with the runs. Because around 1/10 of the people here (maybe less) don't even know what the game is. Sorry for the confusion.
Hello everyone! This thread is for speedrunners who want to be moderators for Maze Craze.
The requirements for being a moderator are:
-
The user must not have more than 3 rejected runs for this game.
-
The user must have at least 5 runs for the game.
-
They must know the difference between TAS and legit speedruns.
-
They must not reject runs for the fun of it.
All speedrunners who intend to become moderators for this game are NOT going to be Super Mods except I who requested this game.
Thanks, Mars02.
charlocharlie, yes indeed. After reading your latest comment on this forum, I decided to look up Todd Rodgers.
Some of the names were: Todd_Rodgers Todd_Rodgers_Real Todd_Rogers todd_rogers1400
And here are some ones I am unsure to confirm of: todd_rodgers_2.0 Todd_Rogers_KoVG
Now you may be wondering, "How do you know which one are actually Todd Rodgers' accounts? First off, I looked under the username and most of the time it would say "Florida, USA". (Which I heard is where he lives.) And if the profile did not say where he was from, I would click "Info", and see when the account was created. Most of the time, it said "2 Months Ago". If any didn't say either, I didn't want to assume that it was his profile. Most likely, it would be.
Rhodechill, if the old or "Grandfathered" runs without videos stayed on the leaderboards and were quicker than the required time for video proof, it would be completely unfair for those who are new for speedrunning MKWII and don't record a run they did that has a time better than the required time. It doesn't matter if the runs were submitted 15 years ago and are still alive, it has to be fair for everyone.
Would SKIPS mean SHORTCUTS, or skipping most of the track?
What does "Softlock" mean?
Hello, I just want to know why speedrunners don't use glitches in the All Stars verison of SMB1. I've seen people so the flagpole glitch before. Are glitches more difficult to do on SNES than NES?
Thanks, Mars02
iplaymario124, just copy the link you want to share, and paste it in the info. section.
The 2 Paratroopas were close enough together that you could shoot 1 fireball and it will hit both the Paratroopa's hitboxes.
CuBored, why not do it yourself? It's very simple. Just click Edit Layout, and then go to Splits and Timer, there you can choose which font you want and backrounds for your Livesplit.
(NOTE: I haven't used Livesplit in a while so some things I typed may not make sense.)
