If they're standing still at the traffic light, you can see how far the lights cycle is and time your positioning based on that. If car is driving, you can just park ahead slightly timing it correctly. In other cases like when the car is just about to pass an intersection, I'm usually screwed unless there happens to be other traffic in front of the car that you can block and take the car down in a chain explosion :D
In the early stages of the website, there were a bunch of "placeholder" games/series to populate the menu. Most of these have been removed already but clearly not all (they really should be).
But yes, other than that leaderboards are added on request by the community/people in charge of the existing leaderboard (if any).
So if there are existing leaderboards for Bomberman, talk to the people in charge and if they're interested have them talk to Pac (or me) and we'll get you set up. If there are no leaderboards atm, talk to the rest of the Bomberman community and if you're interested have them talk to Pac (or me) and we'll get you set up.
"The Frame Limiter needs to be set to ON in the game options or the frame rate limited to a maximum of 30 fps."
Happy?
Your submission came through just fine, but a video is required, so without a video the run will not be accepted.
Rejected: No video. http://www.speedrun.com/gtasa/run/3799
I have added "The timer does not have to be shown on the video, but the time must be verifiable. " to the rules of all the gta games, as well as making the rules show by default instead of hidden behind the show rules button, so they should be harder to miss.
Runs on the leaderboard don't require having a timer on the recording, you just need to know the correct time and a mod will verify that. Having a timer on makes that easier in most cases, but it's not a problem if there isn't one (as long as you submit the right time ofc)
Alright seems fair enough to close the poll now, been over a week since the last reply. Results are as follows Option 1: 22 votes Option 2: 1 vote Option 3: 10 votes
Option 1 clearly won, which means that "Split after credits" will be the way it has to be timed, i.e. the rules do not change.
Why can't VC and SA have a similar counter to GTA3? It would make defining this category a lot less arbitrary :(.
Not really. All the missions in GTA III that change that counter, are the ones changing the save file name. So including all missions that change the save file name, is as non-arbitrary as going by that counter.
But yeah, the problem with SA AM, is that it's either barely different from any%, or it's close to 100%. Unlike III/VC, there's not really a nice balance here. The fact that R¤ removed rampages and USJ don't count, doesn't help here.
When you define it the same way as VC (and III), taking everything that changes the save file name, that is also following the game scripts.
If you were to apply the definitions Gaël suggested to GTA III or VC, you would get the same kind of 'weird" stuff included, btw.
Useless post because the Dutch flag fits surprisingly well with the others here. Also http://www.speedrun.com/tools/100pc_Checklist_1.5_f7dh6.zip because we didn't have enough links to the same thing yet :D
Done. As with the Chaos mod, pressing F5 will open up the save menu when not in a vehicle or in a mission.
A strawpoll wouldnt have allowed us to see who voted what, which is why I opted for doing it this way.
Using a replay while climbing over something has the oh so useful effect of cancelling the climbing animation so you fall off on the side you came from.
