And to think I was surprised when coltrane beat my record

Hello, I am Leafeon, and I'm trying to join the speedrunning community for mope.io. However, I've noticed a few inconsistencies with runs made in different times or versions. It can be easier or more difficult to complete a speedrun based on your version. It comes in a few forms, like different foods being able to be eaten by different tiers, new areas releasing, etc. This is why I propose that there are two different categories. Category 1: Newest Major Version and Category 2: Older Version. The first category would be the mainstream runs on the current version of mope.io with the desert, ocean, arctic, and land.* The second category would be older versions with different physics and gameplay. I hope you take this thread into consideration and try to see how my idea would work. If it doesn't work for some reason, that's fine, but thanks for reading anyway. *There will probably be new regions added to mope.io, so don't quote me on this.

Also @alaviivamies44 in my guide I said FREE ways, and I didn't say that once you start using these that you will instantly have 0.5s load times. If you really think that it is that big of a deal, then get a new router or computer. Stop being rude to me, you have good load times. If you complain like this you probably won't get a good time.

Oh, are you using a mac I guess?

Yes, that is true, but most of those things give you an inappropriate behavior message / permanently set you as a 'New Jammer'

I have 2 mbps and I can still get pretty decent times on my runs. http://prntscr.com/ki2qlg By the way, that internet speed is very good. In my runs I usually have around 150ms, 2.5 download and 11.5 upload. 23.62 download should be good enough. Also, for point three you didn't understand that it said "Check how good your internet connection is, if it's under or equal to 3 bars then restart your router. Make sure to read everything before making a forum post complaining about it.

Recently I've been attempting sub 1:05 (no loads) banned runs, but have noticed something. A lot of things that would get you suspended / banned are only giving you the inappropriate behavior message instead of suspending you. If you have anything besides 'you are a beach' that currently gets you banned, please type it in here.

I think that there should be a separate category for runs called "No loads" the meaning of it is pretty self explanatory, all loading screens, NPC's loading, and lag in general don't affect the time of your run.

If you get no deaths you basically have a perfect run.

The main problem will be finding framerates I think. I'm pretty good at math and it will only take a few hours to get the hand of it. Yet I haven't been taught this is school yet, so it might be a problem. Other runners from MK64 might be help, but I'm not exactly that world-renowned. Once we calculate the framerates, I'll round them up (by at most 0.99999fps) to keep things easy. This project might require just a tad bit of money though. Our other option is to hack in to the game files and make some code to show FPS. This won't be cheating the game, so it's perfectly fine. Just keep in mind that you should probably use an alt associated with a mailinator account with a random name to do this though. (We don't want to get banned.)

When it come to gems and courage, this website is pretty bland. We currently have no courage section, and only 2 gems sections. What I think could make these two things a LOT better on here is to give them each their own little section, like gems and courage respectively. For the gems section, it would be collecting a certain amount of gems. I'd like to see the following in there: 3,000 Gems, 5,000 gems, 10,000 Gems, 20,000 Gems and last but not least, 25,000 Gems. For the courage section, I would like to see: Level 2, Level 3, Level 5, Level 8, Level 10 and Level 16. Also, I think all of the games should be in their own section, Games. I know this isn't as long as my other posts, and that's because I was trying something new, like not filling up the entire writable area. Also, have a courageous day! -Leafeon

Because some players have higher framerates than others, even if their times are the same, the one with a lower framerate will have a worse time. We need to find a way to calculate framerates in a good and reliable way so people with over 35fps won't just get the world records every time. For the idiots who think that the times will be the same, THE TIMER KEEPS GOING, BUT THE GAME DOESN'T WHEN THERE ARE FRAMEDIPS, BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO CLICK TO MOVE, AND WHEN YOUR GAME ISN'T RESPONDING, BUT YOUR TIMER IS, YOU WILL LOSE TIME. Ok, got that out of the way. Now, for how we are going to do this. If you have a game that runs at 15 FPS, it will be reduced by 2x/4x so if I had a 4 minute run on overflow 10 levels hard, and I had a 15fps game, then it will be 1 minute run. If I had a 45 fps computer, it would be a bit harder. What would need to happen in this situation is we would divide 60 by 45, and the quotient is what we divide the run by. Anybody's head ouching yet? Well, I'm about to make it a even more complicated, Say that we had a 37 fps computer, and we had a 1:14:2.82 run for getting a gold brick, that would be very hard to calculate. I'm probably going to use a few calculators on my journey, since a lot of these equations will be arbitrary numbers, but It won't help, because I am struggling to find calculators that use time. So It'll take me a long time before I am able to do this. If anybody could help me, I'll send them an unfinished spreadsheet of what I currently have completed. If you have any questions, or want to help me do this, reply to this thread, or PM me on discord. (Leaf Adam Alone#5413) I hope you have a great day! -Leafeon
