update on VODS, Lurk gave me, DarkAries and ThoseCrazyGuys the vods so now we call all properly work on them as planned and will give more updates later on
for PC games if the game is on steam then create a backup of it and then you can restore the backup on the marathon pc. If the game is not on steam just make sure it is playable offline and store it on a flash drive or something similar aswell. As for certain patches that need to be installed after the game is installed then I would say have that on a flash aswell rather than having to download it.
we are looking to put the sound in post processing, there is only so much that can be done but we will do our best
Q: Who is we?
A: Me , lurk & Dark-Aries and some hooker I found off the street that likes memes
I have like a bunch of ds lite chargers at my work so like if peeps needs em just pay me and I will brin it to DH mtl
Dreamhack is an esports event most known for hosting CSGO majors, now MTL won't be a major but there probably will be some sort csgo and other esports event going on. No idea what floor space is going to be soon but yeah we obviously aren't going to be the only ones there and should be prepared for possibly how wild the venue can be
lurk pretty much said everything I was going to so shoutouts to him for making me not have to write an essay. Pretty much everything was said already. Yes we did not really know each other and it was amazing how we problem solved and no one yelled at anyone and we were all one big happy family. Some things I would like to touch on that weren't mentioned is the whole monitoring audio issue. So I didn't really have time to look into reading a manual as I was working extra hours the week before and I thought the mixer did not have a cue/pfl system inside so that was a massive problem and for the first two days we were just using twitch stream to balance audio and shit which made the process longer and harder for obvious reasons. I realized there is a headphone jack and that it is 1/4 but everyone BUT PYKN had a 3.5 mm headphones so shoutouts to PYKN for letting us use his heaadphones which made sound mixing alot easier. I would still open the stream to make sure it sounds good. Maybe it wasn't as loud as we would of liked it to be however that is out of our controll, if we bumped the gain way too high then the signal to noise ratio would be god awful and the stream would just be all static. The mixer is somewhat at fault, there was no individual VU meters per channel, couldn't change frequencies much and it was a passive mixer so it would output quieter. As for the static during the DKC run I literally just woke up and was trying to think what the issue was then Dark Aries just unplugged the USB from the mixer (I forgot it was a USB mixer lel) and that was solved.
Now something I would like to stress out is if you have a pc run PLEASE INSTALL THE GAME 6-24 etc HOURS BEFORE IT HAPPENS! There were cases were people were like oh my game is only 100 mb lets install it (of course they didn't think the internet would be a problem before hand) but that just wasted time and setting up your game right as your run is supposed to start just wastes even more time. When installing a PC game if it's from steam then make a backup of the game and then restore the backup on marathon pc.
Now overall I had an amazing experience, I met great people and had a great time. Me and my brother and his friend in a way walked into a trainwreck the first morning with the whole internet and xshit issues and with teamworked we (as in all tech guys ) managed to keep it on the tracks (ish) and we actually had a stream for people to watch as it was looking to be there was going to be none.
If I forgot something to say that hasn't been mentioned yet I will make another post.
There have been some runs before which had continue story be used. It's any% and it's bad ending why make it slower also nice GCN emu run scrub
^^ I'm with him so ye I can join in
I'm not sure if my mouse saves it's dpi setting so that I don't need SS engine installed. I play on specific settings so would be it k to install SS engine incase I need to set my mouse settings properly?

same shit as above just no controller
I have the games on an external drive, GTA TBOGT can be played through steam and also without steam
hmm well I guess if you want then I can bring it along, I also got some XLR cables and a couple of converters etc
I think you are referring the "booth" on the mixer which is just to plug in a set of speakers that doesn't return mic channels since the idea of a booth is that it's a speaker near the user and if they use a mic there won't be feedback. Basically something music related

this is the mixer I have, it has two microphone channels that can either be xlr or 1/4, then four channels for RCA Phono or Line In
I guess I would be the designated audio person, I could always bring my 6 channel mixer as backup if needed,. By no preview I'm assuming there is no option to cue/PFL ? . As for anyone that wants to do audio but doesn't know proper mic position etc I can help that. I got perfect on my TV production practical exam for audio.
GTAO is fun but with MTA it is alot easier to get connected to the servers.
With GTAO though we can show hide n go seek and other fun gamemodes where MTA is just driving
however MTA limit is what 64? GTAO is what 32?
holy shit those are good!
well I am currently a student in broadcasting and I have experience with film making, tv production and radio production. So I can handle tech stuff and any announcing(if needed) and directing if needed. I have not yet used xsplit but I have used actual switchers for TV so I mean if I can do that I can do it on xsplit right??? And as for audio goes that is like my main thing and I have experience with running a radio station (board op & announce) with great response from my professors who work in radio/audio
So I was looking into NFS 3 and came across something. The videos uploaded are put into the RP3 format. Is it possible to have these runs uploaded in a watchable format? Don't really think people interested in the game want to open up the game just to see an IL. Espescially if they don't own the game because maybe they are for example wanting to watch on phone or on laptop at school and don't have the game on that device
any idea yet what the audio setup is going to be ? I can recommend some good brands if needed
