Graphics are important yes. By modern standards games that came out 30+ years ago have terrible graphics. Are we really going to use that to measure what is and isn't allowed on SRC? I guess so.
My guess for the actual rejection reason is that this game looks ugly because I drew the graphics myself (had an artist who bailed out on me after a few hours), while for the other one I had a good artist on board.
Right. The graphics of a game have more weight than people realize, and site mods probably passed on it for that reason, which is incredibly lousy.
I would love to see some explanation for this rejection message
We're all wasting our time, elo would rather delete the forums and they might as well at this point lol.
My favorite speedgame hasn't been updated since 1993. Sometimes jam games go further than their slapped together debut, sometimes they don't. If it's a functioning game that meets basic speed criteria (has an actual ending, isn't pvp, etc) and is over the 5 minute mark that seems to be established on SRC, then what's the hold up?
I've seen worse. Yeah, what does "no reasonable level of effort has been put into development" mean? How do you measure that exactly?
I thought it was obvious but it's cool lol
Everything I say is sarcastic.
I hate it. (not sarcasm)
Can't believe SRC banned him for trying to get credit for his run. SRC is defending cheaters :(
Once again the issue isn't whether or not inactive mods got removed. It's the process at which they were removed.
So this is potentially just a case of a mod jumping the gun a little too quickly, or something else and we simply don't have the full details.
I got a hold of them. It was an ELO Staff member that I guess is also a full mod? They just recited the policy to remove inactive mods if someone requests mod. I didn't push them really on whether or not I think that's wrong.
How long have you been waiting? Both mods have been offline a few days, but there's usually a 21 day time limit they have.
Yeah that's the preferred way to go about it, rather than site staff removing super mods because someone submitted a mod request, even when one of three mods are active.
