1: Make sure you're killing all NPCs that can be killed in the area CHECK YOUR MINI MAP 2: If you're still stuck, backtrack a bit, sometimes you've passed over the "trigger brush" before it was activated so it didn't get triggered. 3: If you're on STEAM (NOT CRACKED) or Legit brought from the disk you'll never need to worry about being upto date since Steam handles this. 4: If by chance you're getting friendly NPCs sitting behind cover and shooting every now and then it's because they know an enemy NPC is in the area. Just go look yourself.
The spawn locations for the first half of the first mission are pretty static as it's considered a tutorial mission.
I'm still working on finding time outside of work to make some guides and optimizing my own runs for this game, I would Twitch it but not many people seem to be around when I stream.
Either or, the 1-4 steps WILL 100% of the time fix any "soft locks" you think you're having.
It's probably PC exclude since at a low level I'm guessing it's tied to the frame rate (?How Gamebryo keeps the world in sync) so Consoles either dip or at static at a different rate making certain glitches impossible
You should make them open the console and go through their console command history since you could enable Demigod or slightly modify your health/speed etc through the console.
I think the console.log file should be enough proof since it shows a few things, although it is pretty simple also to just make a mod to do the same thing and there would be no difference in seeable gameplay...
When you say "Not working in game" Do you mean it doesn't show up on the game... Or doyou mean that your split keys still don't work. if it's splits just try run the game in windowed mode.
I don't run the game, but I'm guessing since it doesn't save your speed when saving you loose the modifier and it reloads the default convar stuff
For LiveSplit to work make sure you've ticked "Global hot keys" http://www.speedrun.com/Fallout_3/resources You could also look here to find the resources you want.
Not sure if anyone ended up watching or not, but I did find some funny things just exploring levels.
I also took a look over the developer stuff and found a bit of information that may be of use at some time. Just not to sure how this will runs or runs, or how I could share it with people
If anyone is watching this forum, I'll be streaming on https://www.twitch.tv/professor_acklay for a bit looking behind the scenes as to why things work the way they do, I might also try an actual run at some point
Uh, I highly doubt having a VERY simple HUD element would drop your frames, it would be your console over heating to cause that, but I got the answer I was looking for, so to remain on good terms since I'm kinda new to this scene, I'd rather not get into a full blown debate
Racingmonster: I can give you the source to look at yourself and you can compile it. Or you can watch me on TeamViewer or something compiling so I can explain it.
But since Jonoabbo says nope, I guess that's the law and it makes sense. That's all I was looking for, so that is answered.
(PS: Console users COULD get the mod, but they'd need to hack their console but this is an argument for another thread)
I could throw my hat in, but I won't get past Homer.
If I am still relevant after being dead around here for so long
Alright, with a bit of practice you can also land it perfectly to gain a bit of a speed boost similar to bunny hopping in Source games, but to get speed over stamina you have to be on a long straight.
This could be used for speed running.
The first video involved me showing you that you run out of sprint way to fast, but the slide apperntly goes on forever.
Just sprint to get the speed for a slide, then slide jump land slide over and over and over. You'll get the hand of it. Sadly you can't turn like this which is a down side.
