How am I supposed to derust in first place? I never ran this game properly. I only joined (trilogy) races and did everything rather blind.

There was only one time where I actually did an any% vc stream. I was stuck on Cone Crazy for 3h, but only because i said to myself that i will only continue with 5 or less failed CC rounds. I didn't even managed to do that in the 3h.

If it requires saves from other runs, it would be ng+ instead of ng. Similar to the girlfriend glitch in sa or pre recorded replays in vc.

So if there is a way, it would be a new category.

Cool find. I guess the setup would be faster if you skip the pushing and block one door with your own car and the other with the barracks.

But even then i don't think it would be worth in any% or all missions. But this could be very useful in hundo.

Game.exe keeps on crashing at the end of the benchmark, so I don't have a fancy textfile with benchmark stuff. But I do have Fraps for the part that works.

GTAV Frames: 2171 - Time: 41125ms - Avg: 52.790 - Min: 50 - Max: 62

In actual runs i get way worse framedrops than just down to 50.

Funny enough in gay tony i get better fps while streaming compared to 4 without stream but the benchmark is pretty much the opposite.

EFLC Frames: 1196 - Time: 35312ms - Avg: 33.870 - Min: 27 - Max: 50

Try Patch 1.0.4.0. According to the internet it supposedly has the best FPS of all patches. It might help you.

Well the time was advanced. I remember practicing the bleed out snipe when it was already starting to get dark for example.

I remember not having normal times in my practice auto saves. The ingame time was later than it supposed to be, so i assumed it was +6h from the save. But i never checked how much later it was.

It was back when i was using 1.0.4.0 and not 1.0.7.0. That might be a difference.

I see you doing "vid warp -> sleep x times" a couple of times.

Instead loading the autosave would be better. Since that equals vid warp + sleep 1x, but is faster in terms of RTA.

The old strat has 1 extra phone call before picking up the next mission. It also wastes time picking up a helicopter after that altough direct driving would be faster. But even if you'd wait for the call and do the faster driving, the new strat is a 30-40 sec gain!

I had a lot of stuff running in the backgroudn when recording gay tony, so it is more likely my fault. But after some attempts with different kind load on my pc i wasn't able to reproduce the no splash screen in gta4.

i was talking about the category all missions. I don't remember there being a busdriver category.

But i assumed it wasn't changing the name with the strats you do in 100%. I know that it does change the name in any%. If it's the same then it's perfectly fine.

So the definition for all missions is "do every mission that changes the name of your save file". Then doing a skip on distribution that doesn't change the name, wouldn't be allowed.

And 100% wouldn't be 100% if it doesn't include all missions.

I'm not saying the DLCs should get the same treatment. What this video is supposed to so is that in the GTA4 engine it is possible to not have a splash screen after starting a new game. If the rules say "timing starts on the first frame after the splash screen" how do you want to time that if no splash screen happens?

Now I'm for #3 again. Because i did the same timing in both DLCs. What i noticed is that i don't get splash screens anymore, except for the initial load after starting the game.

Instead the first frame after new game is one single frame of menu and a couple of black frames with the mission name ...clean and serene/i luv lc. The dots indicate that both should happen after the cutscene. Then after that black screen with loading... everything is the same as in 4.
