Okay, chapter 6 has crazy lag. Other than chapter 6, chapter 8, and Campaign Any% however, I don't really see how lag could make a significant difference at the IL WR holders' levels of micro
If you're easy to impress with free WRs, take a look at my speedrunning history
Feinberg said he would add Festival% when he had the time. Gonna ask him again
Cascade cave coin cloning collects coins close to 25% quicker at current consistency curves
Stravos96 has done a run of this in order to practice/demonstrate coin duplication in Cascade. He didn't leave Cascade during the run, and got a time of 52:25 minutes.
The alternative would be Frog skip, I think. But yes it's possible
Will there be an explanation in another video, a post, or a video description?
You posted a list of 52 cap throws, so I assumed that's as many registered cap throws as it took you to beat the game. Or am I wrong?
So you haven't yet stated whether the 52 registered cap throws are up to date?
I'd recommend a Dark or Darker Side run before that
Fearsome Fire has made a video on how to start up: Downtime-buffered spinjump-groundpound into a roll Then maintain that speed using motion controls or Y
Since a lot of people seem to be unaware about this, Super Mario Odyssey has leaderboards for less popular and/or less natural categories under the following, potentially misleading URL: https://www.speedrun.com/smomemes It currently hosts categories like Any% with no restrictions, World Peace without clips, All purple coins, low captures or jumps, and purchasing the boxers as fast as possible from a new file. Definitely not all of these categories are memes, and some should probably not stay as unnoticed by serious runners as they currently seem to be, so I'm making this post to note that there are more official categories for Super Mario Odyssey than just the ones listed on the main boards.
It has been done several times: https://www.speedrun.com/smomemes#Jumpless
So the trick to get no registered throws doesn't exist or what?
What is the highest the jump, coin and cap throw counter can go?
Al...righty... gonna stay tuned for that
Reasons why a few outfits make at least a minimum of sense to consider speedrunning: Boxers: Cost an amount of coins that you have to focus on, can be bought pretty early Caveman outfit: Pretty early, requires you to revisit Cascade Cowboy outfit: Costs an amount of purples that you have to focus on, run could end at the Taylor sister Chef outfit OR painter outfit: Can be obtained early as a trophy for doing the hardest sequence break in the game, "Bruncheon" (premature Luncheon) Skeleton outfit: Costs an amount of coins that you have to focus on One of the late outfits: Requires moons to unlock. Only makes sense with an additional restriction like no collecting moons after beating the game
To most outfits, none of these reasons apply, therefore they should not be made into a category. And even the ones I listed are pretty arguable in parts
