Der Run erfüllt alle Regeln in der Liste, und auch das Gewinnen von Material durch Abriss sieht mir nicht nach einem Exploit aus. Wurde der Run denn zur richtigen Kategorie eingesendet?
If you're planning on running 100%, 1.2.0 is actually faster than 1.0.0 if you learn a glitch called coin duping. This glitch is only possible since the 1.0.1
Excluding after story moons means no Toad moon because no toad moon is before the Multi-Moon Atop the Falls
No, All toad moons is Dark Side with a few mandatory moons and a premature ending
You have to get 5 moons in Cascade to return to Cap
Sand can actually be done using the Any% route for just the Bullet Bill and Cactus capture. Knucklotec's hand can be captured in the Mushroom kingdom (has been done pre-peace in a run), Moe-Eye in the moon cave. Sub 1:30 should be very feasible
My guess is that we will see sub 1 hour via a major skip before we see a non-coop sub 1 without. Both will likely happen eventually though
You can go into the direction of TAS in SMO?
and even if you happened to try and go for it yourself, it will still take years to reach that level
Dude, the key word is "possible". Human skill slowly inches closer and closer to the level of TAS. A few years ago, the WR in SM64 was about 1.5 times as far off the Human Theory TAS, and that's mainly from optimization and only secondarily due to new major strats
You forgot scenes in the odyssey between worlds. I was hoping for a deep analysis on Human movement by chaining together the fastest performances in as short comparable segments as possible (e.g. from one moon to the next, or to a loading zone). Disappointed
Star%, the main subcategory in SMO64 (speedrun.com/smomemes) collects as few moons as possible to visit the Mushroom Kingdom
In SM64, a Human Theory TAS was able to sub 1:33 hours for 120 stars. Turns out some basic movement is a lot faster if done frame-perfectly and current runners are slowly getting closer to doing that consistently; we don't know yet if similar silent time saves are possible in Odyssey
Timing in milliseconds. Hope yall record in high FPS, as the frames will be rounded up
Nipple% did indeed find coin duplication though. It didn't invent coin grinding in general, but it was the category where some coin drop anomalies where first noticed, understood, and used
When starting a new profile, you seem to always get the exact same RNG on the zombie spawns as long as you don't close the app. This enables the runner to memorize said zombie spawns, which raises a question: Should we demand a recording from the opening the app to force an RNG reset, allow RNG conservation and memorization entirely, or add a filter/subcat for both? I would personally prefer to run on fresh RNG
Can this be applied for more useful situations?
It isn't cluttered enough already for a single blue tab in the first category
