How does this compare to the SNES version? Is the route about the same? Do all the same skips work?

I’m learning LTTP on SNES and it would be kind of cool to practice on my gameboy when I’m at work on breaks and stuff

Is whistle sprinting infinitely optimizable depending on the speed you mash the button? Or is it consistent regardless of how fast you mash?

I think it's totally conceivable that there might be seconds difference between the languages but its only a possibility and would require so much time to check. You would have to time every single cutscene and time them perfectly on like five languages to find out.

But for all we know they're exactly the same so nobody has taken the time to find out.

What's the strat from NehkraMe for the fat molded? I thought everyone is just juking the fatties at the end and getting them caught on the middle tower and running up?

People are taking the time to kill the last fatties?

Impressive! What's going on there in the hole fight? How do you get marg's bugs to stay by the ladder?

Hey thanks for the advice. Looks like this solved my lag problem. The game itself stutters a tiny bit but it's way better than the huge frame drops I was getting before.

If anyone doesn't have an i7 and is having trouble streaming this game I can definitely vouch for nvenc solving my problem. I have a 980 ti though so your mileage may vary on less powerful cards

I just submit my best runs and submit new ones as I go.

Might as well submit the best run you have now and submit the next one next time you run.

@XTerminator thanks for the advice. I do have two screens so I can give that a shot. Makes it difficult to interact with chat and see my splits and stuff without my second screen though.

My video card is a 980 TI so I don't think it's a graphics issue though.

I've heard that the swarm bugs can't finish you off no matter how much damage they do as long as you keep swinging your knife.

Can anyone confirm that? That might be the trick to the marg fight knife only?

I've thought about this too. I would love to try a Madhouse knife only run but it doesn't seem possible for this one fight.

@XTerminator my game uses all of my remaining CPU when I enter the courtyard or main hall. Goes from like 60% to 85% which puts my CPU at 99% considering OBS is running. Turned down almost all my settings and it still happens. :(

I think Bawk's i5 might be faster than mine. Mine is 3.4ghz I think.

Also I have a 1440p monitor which probably causes more strain.

Yeah I only have an i5 which is my main problem. I can eliminate lag almost everywhere but he yard and main hall.

Gonna go with an i7 when I can get one through my work but I won't be able to until July.

On easy yeah. On Madhouse I'm not so sure.

New game only. But I'm pretty sure there's at least one part in Madhouse you can't do new game knife only. The Margy hole fight doesn't seem possible knife only new game. There's just too much unavoidable damage without the defense scrolls.

On easy you can do the whole run easily without NG+ items.

I've noticed my game lags when I enter the courtyard and main hall. Turning all my graphics settings down helped a lot but then my stream lags bad during those parts. I can't figure out how to fix it.

Can confirm that this strat is incredibly easy and 100% consistent. Allows you to do Jack with no damage knife only.

This stat alone saved me like thirty minutes in my new PB.

My run took about 3 days to get approved for knife only too. I think the reason you see some people getting approved faster is that they're already known to submit valid runs so they don't need to watch the entire thing.

For all the new runners like me they have to watch through the whole vod

I'm like 99.99% sure you can't use the autosplitter with console.

If the shoes make crouching faster that may make them worthwhile. So long as that inventory slot is available the whole game without needing to visit the box more.
