Why should there be exceptions? You know that would only end in everyone claiming they're trusted and more exceptions, etc. Besides, there are many alternatives for livesplit.

It's not the mods' problem that you can't record as there are so many ways now to do it, everyone can record somehow. Whether it's shitty quality or 1080p@60 doesn't matter.

I feel like until speedrun.com decides to fix the display options, having the cups as misc categories is just annoying. While I kind of agree that they're misc, Double Dash doesn't have any other main categories and there's enough space on the leaderboards to add them.

I'd love to hear more people's opinion on this though, as last time it was checked most people seemed to prefer to have them as main categories, but that was a while ago.

Except if you really care about the game and/or are getting decent enough you should get MKW on the wii itself. Without RTA you can take breaks and technically can complete speedruns that took longer than a week.

Characters don't matter a lot, but there's a slight difference in off-road, the lower the weight the better. That's why Dry Bones is prefered.

As for karts, the most acceptable are egg 1, dry bomber and rob-bls.

Beta is a known time trialer. There's also no way of proving it sufficient enough with one image because there's no IGT, so there's no requirement for 32 tracks.

What's the point of adding extra arbitrary categories on a game with little competition (on here) anyway?

Here's a few reminders:

• The fact that there haven't been any new categories since the game got on speedrun.com has NOTHING to do with if there are enough categories.
• Did I ever say there was constant activity? No. Would the community suddenly run this meme category? No. If you actually want new competition you could join the time trial site or try to find new people.
