Czech RepublicYep, exactly. Whenever you load your save, the game randomly spawns certain number of events from some kind of "pool", so you can force spawn events you want. There are specific conditions for each event to be in the current "pool", but I haven't been able to figure it out exactly. It would require a lot of testing or look directly in the game's code.
Only secrets races are always present, depending on your current stage (maps can be found online).
I won't start with U2 again till couple months later. Need to work on Driver ;)

100% for Chronicles would be fine since there is no backtracking, but I'm not sure about TRIV. I guess you would have to pickup everything possible in the first visit (for example miss a secret in City of the Dead due to no nitro) and finish the level the same way as IL run.

For fucks sake, the point is to create a full-game category based on some start and finish - in this case, 1-30 events. Stop talking about event table please! Event table won't solve this unless you make categories like "1-29,1-30", etc. The category would be named "1) Championship 1-30 events = World Champion Title". It's not just "world champion title". Get it?

Why would you want to save in this mode, anyway? I don't get it. The point here is to create a category that won't take 5+ hours to do.
I see your problem with champion ranks. But event 30 is the last event that is not a bonus one and you get rank "world champion", which is kinda the ultimate rank in racing games.
The problem is that by your logic, the event 30 message should say "You are the world champion", not "You've completed championship mode" :) The game clearly says you've completed the mode, not just one event like "Event 9 - Pursuit BMW M5 Challenge -> here you are the BMW champion".
Why can't we just make categories that do not end with a video, but with just some kind of accomplishment like in this case - become the world champion? Is that really such a problem for you?
How about we make events 1-30 misc category? Kinda like "100 tags" category in San Andreas. I mean, if the run would be much shorter, why not do it?

This is fine if you're okay with 5 categories. It's too many in my opinion, but oh well, if that's how the game works... or we would only have to allow runs with events 32, not 30.
No, you didn't need 7 months to convince me about PS2 version being different. I didn't know about the difference untill we've received couple submissions and you made couple posts on forum that you managed to beat them, but PS2 version is a bit different. I don't remember you previously mentioning this to me. Event table IL is fine, we can do that, but that's not the point of discussion here. We're talking full-game runs.

That's a really weird game mechanics. OK, in that case, I propose these categories:
- Championship 1-30 events
- Championship 1-32 events
- Ultimate racer 1-30 events
- Ultimate racer 1-32 events - basically 100% run since you have to do all 64 events

Why wouldn't "3) Hot pursuit champion - complete event 32" category work? You said yourself, JessicaSix, that event 32 unlocks if you complete all hot pursuit and championship events, so I don't understand why would you need separate categories.

- World champion any% - event 1-30 of world racing mode
- Ultimate racer any% - event 1-30 of hot pursuit mode
- Hot pursuit champion - complete event 32

Yes, you sort of "finish" the game with just 3), but I'm fine with at least reaching some rank, especially since this is a racing game and both categories would have totally different times. I'll probably do a similar thing with NFSIV career - 1) low% - finish all tournaments with at least bronze medals, 2) complete the whole career including tournament of champions

Does Championship mode have Ultimate Racer rank like Hot Pursuit mode? If so, we could create categories based on the ranks you achieve.
You said yourself JessicaSix that events 31 a 32 are just bonus events, so is it like the career in High Stakes? If you don't win all events in the first place, you don't unlock events 31 and 32?
Maybe the upgraded brakes are too strong as in Carbon.
