"E Dragon I can only assume from your post format you're doing some kind of marijuana or something
Does E stand for ecstasy? Probably"
LMFAO
I'm probably the person who takes the least drugs here. I NEVER took any drugs. I'm not even smoking and I'm an anti-alcoholic ( YES I NEVER DRANK ANYTHING ALCOHOLIC ). Drugs are absolutely unnecessary, which is why I avoid them as much as possible.
lol, wtf is this thread. Speedrunning is not only about competition and I don't even get what you want to achieve with this thread. Even if you enforce a no drug rule it wouldn't have any influence just because of how difficult it is to spot. If you know of someone who used performance enhancing drugs for his runs, you can call him out. Another problem with enforcing such a rule is that it might ban some runs that were legit in the past, so that's kinda dumb. Finally I doubt any drugs could make a significant difference, that you wouldn't be able to achieve by a bit more practice. You need to be very desperate to use drugs to claiming the World Record, especially since you don't even get any price money or something and you will probably be beat after some time (sometimes years) anyways. It's not like I'm against such a rule, but I don't see any point in doing so. Also I'm kinda interested in your F-zero X skills (though I'm not expecting much).

Yeah Sarajevo was what I had in mind. I tried to saving and loading multiple times and it doesn't seem to work. It also looks a bit different, because the buildings are all placed extremely fast and are probably not actually built by the MCVs, but idk how AI works exactly in this game. However I will try saving and reloading for other missions and see it it can be abused somewhere else.
Great find! This is very interesting. I haven't really messed anything with saving on specific points yet, but I definitely have to look more into that now. I wouldn't be surprised if you could use that in other missions as well.
The game changes some units on a few missions. For example in the Rome mission the Master Mind also has a rail gun, which kills your infantery and in Cologne your engineers are also faster. Same goes for a few NOD missions where your Saboteurs are just faster like Outback, Sidney City Wall and Ayers Rock as well as Operation Stiletto.
The strat was discovered by noend11: The way it works is that both GDI and Scrin will not attack you until you attack each somehow, so you use planning mode to capture all buildings at once, before they start attacking your saboteurs.
I just figured out how useful planning mode can be for the engineer warp glitch. Basically you can warp a ton of engineers by only placing 2 buildings if you let them all go at once. This made Kane's Tower quite a bit faster and easier: I think this could be used in other missions as well ... I'm thinking of Sarajevo in particular, where I have a good strat quite figured out now.
UPDATE: Nod missions are done now. I could still look a little for optimizations. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLFurN_3ISVHkdG40tODUDuUjXpewqtKt3
Nice to see someone interested in this game! I have the game installed via the disc. I don't know anything about the steam version tbh, but since it was released after the 1.09 patch I guess it's patched.
Also I got all of NOD missions except for: Sarajevo, Operation Stiletto and Kane's Tower. Sarajevo and Operation Stiletto will probably end up with a lot of saboteur warping. I have not done anything for Kane's Tower yet though and this one will be pretty interesting and require a lot of testing.
I haven't done a lot with this game lately, but I'm back again to NOD missions and did the first 4 missions and I already know what to do on the next 3. Update: I got up to Slovenia now I will upload everything regarding NOD missions here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLFurN_3ISVHmp0uZWIG2bMullPwgOPaO9
Not long ago I got my times removed, because I ran this game on a original disc on Nintendon't or Dios Mios: http://www.speedrun.com/run/nz1p0orz So yeah the answer is no.
I did a run of Echoes with some commentary, I hope it gives a good insight into the game:
About the donation incentive to kill Alpha Blogg with screw attack. I cancelled it, so noone has to watch me failing horizontal air underwater for 8 mins.
About F-zero GX, you can watch CGNs story mode run at AGDQ 2014: The game/category hasn't really changed since then.
Actually please remove the donation incentive about killing alha blogg with screw attack in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. I need to get air underwater for that and the last time I tried that it took me 8 mins, which would not be entertaining in the slightest, especially for something pretty small.
Kind of late in here, but I will take the train at 11:06 am on the 23rd.
lol, who do you plan to torture with that ?
