Hello, I'm writing to report that @nick666101, moderator of several games in the Puzzle Bobble series is not verifying the runs within a reasonable timeframe. From October 31st to November 15th I have uploaded 7 runs in 6 different categories of 2 games moderated solely by him (Puzzle Bobble 2X and 3), and as of today none of them has been verified. This is not the first instance in which this moderator lets the runs sit there for very long periods of time. Then I have waited for 2 more weeks but nobody replied to my post. I had hoped for a more "peaceful" solution, but since it's been impossible to contact the moderator (last active on the site on November 4th, 2 days after a run of his own in another game, and also after some of my runs), it seems to me that the only thing I can do is to ask for the removal of nick666101 from the moderation of the series altogether, for repeatedly ignoring the 3 weeks verification deadline and generally not checking the pages of the games.

Given that I don't think there's anyone else interested in doing it at the moment, I'm also asking to become moderator of the following games:

• Puzzle Bobble 2X (Arcade)
• Puzzle Bobble 3 (Arcade)
• Puzzle Bobble 4 (Arcade)

If it's needed, I'm also available to help out with the moderation of Puzzle Bobble 1&2 (Arcade), since those are the busier of the series and there's only one active moderator.

Hello, I'm sorry that I have to do this, but I really don't see any other way. In the past month, I have played a lot of Puzzle Bobble 2X and 3 (Arcade version) and, starting from October 31st, I uploaded 7 runs in 6 separate categories of the two games. Since then, none of those runs have been verified by the only moderator of the games, @nick666101. Now it's been almost a month since the first upload, so the time allowed to the moderator for verifying the run is up. (And by the way, I feel that 3 weeks is a rather generous amount of time: I imagine that it's designed for busier or longer games, or for periods when the moderator may have a full couple of weeks, but I see that runs on the site are generally approved within about a week.) I also messaged him a few days ago but he hasn't replied yet.

I wouldn't be reporting it this way if it were an isolated incident, but this is clearly not the case, since:

• the most recent run approved in either of those games, Hwani's in Puzzle Bobble 2X Puzzle X, sat there for almost three months (!) before it was approved. Hwani never uploaded anything else after that run, and I have to wonder if the extremely long wait had something to do with that;
• in Puzzle Bobble 1&2 there are two moderators, nick666101 and poshi, and I think that it's consistent with the relatively higher number in runs. However, 100% of the recent runs have been approved by poshi (who by the way is always really quick and accurate), whereas some less recent runs approved by nick666101 had waiting periods similar to the 2X run I just mentioned;
• there is already a topic in the forum of the SNES version, dating back to november 2019, where a user is complaining of the same problem with the same moderator;
• nick666101 has recently uploaded a run of his own in a different game (quickly approved), so he is definitely active on the site, when he wants to.

I'm posting this here in the hope that some kind of friendly solution can be reached without bringing this to the general forums, which would be the next logical step. I really think that nick666101 must make a decision. If he wants to keep moderating the games, he should, well, do it. Otherwise, he should just step back. As it stands, he is ruining the experience for me and for any other potential runner of those games.

If it's needed, I'd be willing to lend a hand with the moderation, but if possible I'd really prefer to have the help of someone with more experience (and who is active as a moderator, of course). Thanks.

After watching your run and poshi's, I'm convinced that ACG is potentially faster. The only real problem is C5 (a true nightmare stage), in which you just have to get good rng otherwise your run is kaputt, but the other stages are all reasonably fast. I tried BEH a few times: I feel that it's overall safer, but the wide screen "precision" stages are really obnoxious and slow, at least for me.

But this is just my opinion and I might be wrong, I'd love to read your thoughts (and @poshi 's) on the choice of routing.

Thanks for the reply, take your time of course! :) Do you by any chance remember if you settled on a specific route? At the moment I'm trying with the same route as the standard game and it feels tough but doable, except that I swapped in C for D because I was tired of dying unfairly multiple times to D3, but maybe I'm just bad lol. And I'm still not sure which one sucks less. My best time until now is about 21 minutes, but I average 3 deaths per run so yeah, a lot of room for improvement.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone here has ever tried to speedrun the "another world" category of puzzle bobble 2, discovering quick strats, the fastest route, etc. I actually found its existence through this site, and to me it's a new and fun way to play the game, albeit stupidly hard. I'm currently practising it a little and plan on uploading a run sometime soon, but I'd love to see how more experienced players may tackle this challenge.
