lol
nobody is gonna submit runs for that (except you I guess) If you really don't want to use ABH, either just don't do it, or just run glitchless. If you are just starting out, abh isn't that important anyways.
I mean the pb's still count, you just have to check when the crosshair disappears and use the time that's on the timer there.
Just because the timer doesn't work properly, doesn't mean the run is dead, it's just annoying to get the actual time without loads.
The moderators are in process to get fixed right now, 2/3 of the current mods haven't been active in ages, so they are gonna be removed soon.
Portal Discord: https://discord.gg/ZkcJJg2 (don't expect anything super active here)
for Source Games in General: https://discord.gg/sourceruns
It would be neat, if the nodes on the WR graph would be linked to the pages of the runs, so you can just click them to view older records, without having to search for them on the user profiles first.
"Edit: I use Source Unpack so it can't be because of not using it"
OpieOP
You have to be a bit behind the edge of the Portal when you save load, so that you can't see it anymore, If you save load and you can still see the Portal it won't work. (same with being too far behind the Portal, but you have a decent leeway here)
Saveglitch is kinda finicky when you are just starting out. It's just a thing you gonna have to get a feel for.
This won't work:
This will:
The opposite of this sometimes happens to me. That Portals on angled surfaces are displayed without an angle, making it look glitchy. That happens sometimes when I reload a save. I'm just gonna assume, that this is basically the same thing, so I can tell you that it is not useful, cause as you enter the portal it will fix itself and be displayed properly again. It's purely a visual glitch.
Seems like I have to reconsider, if want to learn this game :^)
I'm not gonna vote, cause I don't know shit as non member of the community, but from personal experience and preference I would have choosen to make a category for the old any%, just because there will be a sudden big time gap between the old runs and the improved runs and they are basically no longer comparable imo.
You could consider adding it as misc category as a "showcase" for the old runs and for keeping an option for potential interested people open.
Again, I don't know shit about the community, so if you think this is retarded, I'm fine with that.
Hey, don't want to open a new thread, cause there are already enough jp problem threads.
So I used the converter successfully, however when I try to start the gta-vc.exe after the conversion, it simply doesn't open. It only shows up in the taskmanager for a short time before disappearing again. No window is popping up.
I'm using the steam version on windows 10 with a physical disc drive.
I'm assuming it is a compatibility issue with the jp version and win 10. I tried using different compatibility modes, but without success.
Any idea how to fix this problem?
It means that you can't use any bind to walk forward. Basically you can't use the w key which is normally the only +forward bind.
TheSwagatron has an old tutorial for it:
TheICarnage and me actually started running this too yesterday, and we have updated the route with some more saveglitches and improvements and are still looking for more optimization.
I'd recommand learning it with the tutorial and then taking a look at our runs and add stuff from there if you want.
Maybe I will make a new tutorial, but probably not, cause I'm too lazy for that shit :^)
yeah I'm using Chrome.
Also I forgot that the site bugs thread exists. Should have probably checked that first.
Is it supposed to split on the telefrag too or do I have to do the last split manually?
Well yes, if someone submits a second run on the same version, it will replace the old one.
Or do you mean, that only the fastest time from each patch is shown? that could also be handled with variables.
