From what it appears to be, this problem seems to be present on Samsung Internet Browser as browsing the very same website via Chrome or Firefox didn't have the same issue. So the thing is that from time to time the nicknames of some speedrunners in the "latest runs" tab may be invisible. Normally the solution is to hold the finger on the nickname as if you were meant to tap on it but not to tap it. Just to hold it (unless you want to check the speed runner's profile). As I've said, that issue is present on Samsung Internet Browser exclusively. The question is whether I should switch to Chrome or Firefox not to experience that issue. Out of curiosity, if that issue is exclusive to Samsung Internet Browser, do you think you'd be able to fix it?
Dang it. I must've been blind then not to notice that.
I'd like to suggest a new feature. It's known that you can order the games, in which you have at least one run, by your choice. It clearly works. But how about the followed games? In case one unfollows some games and decides to refollow them, their order can be different. Or basically the order of the followed games is random. I'd like to suggest game ordering for the followed games as well. It may not make much of a difference in case of the profile when one views it, but that'd be so helpful when clicking on "games" where you get to see the shortcuts to the games you follow.
There are 2 different versions of the game: free and premium. As the name suggests, in the premium version you won't get ads. However, in case of the free version, after level 4 you'll be given a choice either to watch an ad to unlock the next level or to buy premium version. As there are 17 levels in total, you'll be forced to watch 13 ads in order to unlock all the levels. You can't play the game offline as clicking the button to "watch the ad" while being offline won't load the ad and therefore won't load the next level. So playing offline in free version isn't an option. Since 13 ads would mean around 6,5 minutes of a timeloss in comparison with the premium version just because of having to watch the ads, how would the time spent on watching the ads be considered. If they're watched just to unlock the levels, would it be ruled out or would it be included in the final time? If the ad doesn't get included in the final time, how much of the ad time would be removed from the final time? Just from the point the ad begins or already at the screen showing the option to watch the ad to unlock the next level? Of course, if the ad was watched in any other purpose than unlocking the level, then it'd be included in the final time, but the ads that must be watched in order to unlock the next level could be an issue.
Alright then. Thanks for a quick reply. My idea of changing the timing method was suggested due to the fact that on the newer Android OS-s the game seems to be struggling with the loads and can crash from time to time. In extreme cases the game can crash after a few seconds (for example on my phone with Android 9 the game was crashing a few seconds after loading the main menu whereas the game worked fine on Android 5). For now, since NG+ is gonna be quite a new category and so far there aren't too many speedrunners of the game, I agree with your point. Alternatively, I could suggest LRT and that'd refer both to NG+ and to Any%. For now it isn't a great issue, so RTA could remain the main timing method for the time being.
So I've performed the NG+ run. Showing the character and the Speedor before starting the run could be a requirement, so that's why I've shown them in the recording.
IGT: 27:22
RTA: 35:02
I've just performed the 100% run and here is the times I've calculated:
If the run starts from the "start" button, then the time is 2:49:58. If the run starts from choosing the "adventures", then the time is 2:49:40. The run is here:
I have an idea for a new category. It'd be the NG+ category. The timing rules would be the same as for the Any%. But that'd refer to RTA. I'd suggest IGT as a main timing method in NG+ as that'd eliminate the potential time gain by faster loads. IGT would be a total sum of the IGT times of all 18 tracks. In NG+ you'd be allowed to use whatever the Speedor you'd like to use.
As you've probably noticed, there isn't any day without a bot on src. Everyday there'll be some thread completely irrelevant to the section of a forum. Sure, the bots deletion thread exists and the bots are almost usually banned after such a report. But don't you think it just isn't enough to stop the bots? They keep coming back. I don't really know what the requirements are at signing up at src, but perhaps some Captcha verification should be implemented while signing up? Like it should be mandatory for everyone. And speaking of the bans, wouldn't the IP bans be more effective than just banning the account? I know an IP address could be changed, but at least that would lower the chances of the bots coming back. Just slightly, but perhaps that'd be a better idea than just the account bans.
I'm aware using controller mode is much faster than choosing the options by yourself (with a motion sensor). The problem though is that apart from pausing the game with a start button, opening Xbox dashboard with the dashboard button or enabling Kinect tuner with Y I can't really use any other button. Which is problematic as the controller mode is essential not just to get an early exit, but also to scroll the menus much faster. I've googled for any info on how to enable it, but I just couldn't find anything. So I think it makes sense to ask such a question here. How do I enable controller mode?
