Anyway, I'll suggest that we add 100cc, 50cc and Mirror to meme leaderboards (the_illuminati created a thread here http://www.speedrun.com/mk7/thread/n9wls , but we only have 1 category so far), as that's really unlikely for these to be added as main categories.

¤ Or for categories that mods refuse to add even if there are a bunch of valid reasons to do so.

The second one. You have to capture the entire window, my Gold run was rejected this week because I only went for the first one, due to technical issues (now solved).

About timing issues, LiveSplit has a "Manual Game Time Input" feature that allows runners to enter segment times and get their total time calculated. That's how Sonic runners get their times, and I used that during my 3 runs too (got a 1:01:57 earlier, finally something decent)

Anyway, it wouldn't be that bad to have a new category even if you don't think it's a good idea... The 11 categories we currently have are here since the release of the game, and activity is decreasing ; why not try to add something new ?

Lafungo is a mod in a lot of other games, so he probably hasn't even seen this thread yet :/ (If you're here please prove me wrong :P ) I hope he adds the category too, once again it would be cool to have a "pure execution" category ^^ (and free "WR" until someone serious runs it Kappa )

Btw, just finished another (terrrrrrible, even with 3 PBs) run in 1:02:59.155... My ability to completely fuck up on 10 tracks per run is getting really interesting lol (ruined 3 free PBs at the end, finished 6 tracks at +10s or worse)

Just finished a first run in 1:03:04.455 (31:48.091 Nitro, 31:16.364 Retro), with a lot of big mistakes (15 seconds lost to my TT PB in Mario Circuit, 12 in DK Pass, 10 in SNES Rainbow Road, 9 in Koopa Cape...), but still 2 PBs (-0.9xx in GBA Bowser Castle 1 I hadn't run in ages, and -0.02x in Luigi's Mansion) o/ Not even sure if I upload it, given that every single run I'll do will beat it by (at least) 30 seconds with literally no effort, and I won't let that shit be a PB for more than a week xD

My "Sum of Best" is 1:00:58.031 (30:46.018 Nitro, 30:12.013 Retro), all glitchless, so sub 1 should be really easy to get in a run for a top TT player, and maybe even sub 55 would be possible with all glitches :o

I think he means a "Do all 32 TTs" category, not a TT category for every track.

That's a good idea imo, still do all 32 tracks but all down to your execution, not depending on items to save time... And using IGT because we're not comparing our mashing between tracks (during those excessively long loads)

Wow, that's a really cool timesave o/ But by resetting, do you mean "Go to home menu, quit the game and restart the game", or did you find another technique ? Because I can't remember another way to reset :v

Just one. For the same reason that makes Manaphy optional for area02, aka "area runs just have to get through the area, reaching an access to a new one at the end" and don't have to complete all levels.

It would make a pretty good run for a 24 hours marathon XD (But you wouldn't have time to do anything else lol)

What about a All Cups All Characters All Modes (50, 100, 150, mirror) category ? The challenge is to stay alive during the 110 hours run Kappa

There were 100% for ILs originally but they were removed, useless.

100% Areas would be pretty cool, but that means 29 extra "full-game" categories when we already have 32 x_x

The problem for your new category is that murals can't be resetted, so you would only have max 1 try (if you haven't completed a single puzzle yet) :(

If you have a video (which you must have for your run to be validated), just check the time between your last split and where RTA normally stops, add that to the time you had for your last split, and that's it ^^ (That should be about 1:15 if you had 2 Pokémon in Hall of Fame and split after Champion)

It works perfectly for NSC too, I did a few runs with it. And yeah, it's 100% fine for glitchless (and NMG) and works exactly the same way as emulator or original console.

All Stages in an area wouldn't include Alt World because it would double all stages, which is completely useless Kappa p And yeah, 32 main categories is... A bit too much TriHard

Got a 24s Manaphy btw, recorded correctly this time. This one is really solid (still possible to get a 21 with that strat imo, but won't grind for it until 24 is beaten)

Concerning the potential new categories, Alt World levels are exactly the same as normal levels, so I don't really see the point of making new categories out of it. But I agree with you about All Stages Area runs and the "real" full game Any%, it would be cool to have these, it would bring a bit more variety.

(Don't watch it, it's bad we can save at least 10 seconds Kappa ) As Hypnoshark mentioned it on my Area02 run comment, "It's just get to the end of the area as fast as possible. No need to do side missions". That's why Alt-world tutorials are not needed, as well as Froakie and Manaphy for Area02 ;)

For All Areas, I'm not sure though. But what you do in this one is basically all 31 individual areas, so I suppose side missions are optional there too :)
