When I was the only person with a Balloon Fight time on this site, I ran 1 loop because it was the category that made the most sense to me (as it played through all of the stages once).
However, whoever makes the goal decisions for the Best of NES series chose to make the Balloon Fight goal "beat phase 12". As I expected that many people would submit their runs of this category, I added it to the board.
I can make the 1 loop category misc if people want it to be.
The only run that used nondefault settings didn't benefit from it in any way, so it seems fine to leave it up there
It's supposed to be default lives/bombs only, though I guess I can leave that run up for the reason you said (must have missed that, sorry)
I added it to the rules for the games for which starting lives/bombs are an option.
Apologies for the confusion
I can if you're planning on frame counting your runs. Manual timing is not accurate to that degree, so it won't be useful otherwise.
Timing starts at the main menu and ends when the last enemy is defeated in level 12 for the full game category, and it starts at movement and ends when the last enemy is defeated in ILs.
Added these timings to the rules
I can make that another category if you feel like it (and add the current runs' times at that point to the new category)
changing the zoom fixes it for me (also on chrome)
I'm not sure why, but the board for http://www.speedrun.com/Yoiyami_Densetsu_The_Legend_of_Twilight only shows the runs for one version (variable) at a time, though I can switch which version shows up by setting the desired version as the default value. Any help would be appreciated.
Since there seems to be general agreement to include all exits in 100% (and rdd doesn't seem like he's going to say anything about it), I added it to the rules
Apostrophes in game names on game pages are currently being replaced by '
Added rules for all of the games, sorry about that Feel free to ask for any other changes you may desire
There's an extra clickable spot (that doesn't do anything) at the top of the verify/reject/edit menu that shows up after clicking the .s when approving runs.
those rules seem fine (end time might need to be more precise though), will add them
the show all/show fewer buttons on the game list page (under filters) don't seem to do anything
favicons on moderated games list don't seem to be resized correctly
The most likely reason is that someone else had the same username as you (not on this site but somewhere else), and when the mods of those games added that person's times to the leaderboard, it automatically attached the runs to your account.
http://www.speedrun.com/The_Site/thread/frjsy is probably the best thread to post in to get it fixed if the global mods don't see your post here.
a while ago, twitch changed highlight links for some reason here's the run:
3way/gatling early, after that mostly sniper for fights against fast/small robos, stun for the second heaviest kind of robos, rayfall for the champion match, some other specific ones in the evil lair and final tournament
a lot of different weapons are good though, depending on how you play and what the opponents do
I mostly use arc bombs, as they're fast and can allow you to block off opponent's movement. probably don't use them as much as I should
haven't really tested pods much, some seem useful maybe but idk yet
several legs are good depending on opponent, ground/stage, and weapon
