35 is an insane time, hope you can replicate that down the line :)
OK, making score leaderboards on this site is not easy which makes sense for a speedrunning site. If you want to submit a score, simply convert the kill count to seconds and put it in as a time. It's set to order in reverse so higher "times" will be ranked higher. I can't really think of a better way to do that.
I do think getting the right one first is quicker, just use the trick to speed up the one you did last and it’s an easy record.
Impressive! Aside from the one slowdown at like 45 seconds in I can't really spot anything to improve on.
Exactly! Going fast is incredibly rng dependant on this level and timesaves are not easy to come by! I wanted a decent run of every level on the board but parkour 6 is painful. Probably won’t bother running it if I can just get one run on the board that has 0 deaths.
Look, with checkpoints, sure, but if anyone can manage a deathless, fast run of parkour 6 they are just amazing. I have tried for multiple hours to get a good run of it and have not even managed to get through it deathless once.
Your movement is great, you should try running some of the parkours!
The developer has made the final upgrade slot much easier to unlock which is welcomed!
If you haven't noticed, Arenas 11, 12, and 13 are out of order. The order actually is 11, 13, 12. For the sake of simplicity, we're going off of the name and not the Arena's place in sequence. So, as an example, Arena 13 will still be submitted under the level "Arena 13" regardless of the fact that it's not actually the 13th in sequence. If this ever gets fixed I can just change the names around.
Edit: it has been fixed so make sure to double check you are submitting to the correct Arena.
Power-Ups present a problem for a speedrunning community. Unlocking all the slots and upgrading the power-ups takes time and that means that new runners have a disadvantage. Even I'm still a slot short of having all of them unlocked (granted, most of my time is resets on runs) At the same time, outlawing them entirely is an incredibly bad move. It's a bit of a lose-lose situation. The point of this thread is just so that we have a place to talk about it before someone else brings it up as a problem. If anyone has any ideas on how we could create some kind of unlock-all for the game, I'd love to hear them, because that would even the playing field for individual level runs.
Make sure to include a list of power-ups OR just open the power-up screen at the end of your run. (For individual levels that are not parkour 1 or 2.)
I can retime it later to be sure but it looks like it's good. Nice run!
In the future please include a list of the power-ups you used in the description of the run or somewhere in the video. Nice run!
