for 1.16 I would say just get glass from sand on the beach from the wither ssg seed, and mine some obsidian by getting a diamond pickaxe, then just get gold blocks from bridge bastions

For 20w45a, the 1.16 ssg seed works anyway, just with a slightly different basalt biome.

Some of the advancements are already in the category extensions like the hidden ones: arbalistic and how did we get here?. Maybe some other advancements might be good to route, but the majority are not. I think in the discord there is some category extensions extensions thing with some of the other advancements though.

They just don't have 1.16 ssg in the 1.16 category, it is in the 1.9-1.15 category for ssg.

Time starts right as loading screen ends and you are in fight for sanctuary not sanctuary, so no.

2.0 vs. 1.8.5 doesn't really matter, just use 2.0, it doesn't affect anything besides maybe slightly slower loads, 2.0 is still current patch. It just means that 1.8.4 and below aren't allowed because they have more glitches.

The fishing quests would still take forever for all achievements, and would be too much rng and take over the majority of the run's timeloss, instead of having that timeloss from playing bad.

Whenever my game crashes on start up for 1.1-1.6.1, I just load 1.0 and then the others work again, but it's probably different for you

You would have to get/find a smithing table and have a close ruined nether portal and get a diamond hoe, probably getting the diamonds from a structure or maybe just get the diamond hoe from a woodland mansion as long as the chest was close to spawn. Then you would get netherite from a chest and upgrade it. It might be an interesting speedrun, but it doesn't seem like a category that would have many people seed hunting for.

Probably if you obtain the points in the run for any%, but it shouldn't be allowed, because it is online only, and if hotfixes are enabled, and some of them get changed and you won't be able to play on that hotfix ever again even if you downpatch. If you play online with hotfixes disabled, it isn't really possible to play online without them being enabled except before your first savequit that you do without needing to use 3rd party sources to forcefully turn them off.

If commands weren't allowed it would just be ssg with a close portal and then just get good dragon luck and kill it with manually placed end crystals, or rsg just until you got a close portal that didn't require ender eyes to find and did the same ender dragon kill (if you put enough runs into it to get that lucky).

The game is popular because it is a good speedrun and good for casual play in general. You can't just expect to be the best in the world when there are hundreds of people and many that have ran the game for many years.
