Should we go for me categories, like 24 Stars (100%)? Might make for some longer runs with room for optimisation plus some luck, and also might bring some people in? Who knows. Just a suggestion!
I've noticed that the 2 current runs in Any% end at different cutscenes. Which one is the proper ending? Is it the fade to the credits (Asuka424's timing), or the wipe directly following the Dancing Pandemonium minigame (Anneurismz's timing)? Just asking so I know for the future.
I tallied up all the achievements you can get in 1 night (Survival Mode), and I was wondering if it may be possible to add a category with this in mind. I don't know about one of the achievements, but in total, I have 10 achievements that can be obtained.
- Are You There? (easy)
- Honk! (easy)
- A Salvage Stumped (easy)
- Watch It! (easy)
- G-G-Ghosts!! (medium)
- An Absolute Unit of Blood (medium)
- Bronze,
- Silver,
- Golden,
- & Platinum Sonic (all completed throughout the course of the night)
The one I'm not sure about is Broken Record of Jumpscares. I've done it in the past, but I don't remember if it's completed upon being jumpscared or if it is only available when you go to the Jumpscares menu. If someone can educate me on this, that would be fantastic.
Thank you to whoever reads this!
I've been looking through the categories of both Base Game and Category Extensions, and I couldn't find anything regarding Pico-8 Celeste. Is there anything regarding this, and if there isn't, would it be possible to add a category regarding this part of the game?
At 0:10, the glitch occurs. The game completely freezes. I was attempting to move my mouse everywhere but the game's custom mouse is frozen.
Using an example of the same glitch but without pressing the down button, the game loads you into the arcade of the year you are currently in. I believe this is because the game attempts to load you into a different scenario, but because you're already loading during that transition, it just sends you to the closest one at the end of the warp loading screen. i.e. the inside of the arcade.
My theory as to why this happens is because pressing the down arrow I clicked sends you to the year select screen, while you're loading, it sends you to a different scenario altogether in the midst of loading. The time select screen. Because the game attempts to send you to 3 separate scenarios in quick succession (the inside of the arcade, a separate time period, and the year select screen), it loads more information than it is designed to handle (or something similar, I'm no coder though) and the game crashes.
This is just a theory, though. I hope some time in the future this might be fixed/looked at a bit more intensively!
