Only some GCN games have a 60hz option, and even then they can be slower due to other version differences which can lose way more time than 50hz does
In order to be able to focus more on all my other games and Run Invalid, and in hope that it wont affect the chance of ActRaiser making final cuts, I'm withdrawing my ActRaiser 2 run. The free time that I have right now is dwindling, and AR2 will bide its time for future marathon showings.
On my other runs: New strats were found in Alice that replace annoying ice wall climbs wth more explosions(obviously) and make the run even better to watch. I should be able to PB in that soon, and also I will keep rotating Bastion, EG2, and Alice in practice until the month is over. I'm still pretty ok at video games and I'm not planning on doing any masochistic PB grinds so this is my only update before 3rd cuts.
Posting it here just to make clear what I'm planning for the leaderboard: as soon as the glitch that lets you get the 'no bodies found' bonus even though the targets' bodies were found that exists on the current patch gets fixed(which will probably happen soon), I'll clear out the leaderboards, removing both the runs that probably should have had bodies founds(so far I've been accepting all runs that used the glitch), and ones that had the old timer glitch happen in them, effectively fully switching to In-Game Time timing. However, I'll preserve all the runs that will be removed that way for conservation purposes, they'll probably be here on the forum or in resources.

few updates from me: ActRaiser 2 - as promised in my submission comment, I implemented a majority of the fastest strats, and ended up getting a massive PB, bringing my time down to around 50 minutes. It won't show up on the speedrun.com leaderboard (because no one that actually runs the game manages it...) so here's the video Also, with this PB, I'm confident that my estimate can be lowered down to 1 hour. I'll obviously still keep working on AR2.
Bastion - I'm sick at this video game so I didn't feel like I had to try to improve at all, I'll practice if it makes second cuts. In NG Any% my WR was cut thanks to new strats, but I can easily PB with that myself as well.
Alice - while I did not have the time to practice I've realized that my PB can still be improved considerably, and with how consistent everything in this game is, I'd like the estimate changed down to 1:05. I'll most likely try to improve my time to sub-1h before ESA.
Escape Goat 2 - I got my time down to 14:18(game time - http://www.speedrun.com/run/7ylnognz ), and I'm currently right behind the best runners on the leaderboard. The 20 minute estimate is fine.
Dredd - chops already posted about this, but - we got the co-op WR and the estimate can be 30min.
If the menu shows up and disappears then you tapped Escape too EARLY, not too late(or stood too far from the loading zone if you want a faster timing).
Like, very, very slightly early. It's a matter of frames.
I find that playing on low textures makes it easier to see patterns on the ground to set up the load warp, but that's just me. There's no specific setup you have to do, just find something to look at so you do it the same way every time. Most people set it up very close to the load zone like doctor.
If hitting Fallout 4 load warps work anything like the way it does in the other gamebryo games then I strongly doubt this is true, so it might be just you. But then again this is Bethesda, so who knows, might be worth testing this properly.
If I have runs that made it past 1st cuts that I'm already really good at, do I still have to somehow show that I'm derusting/practicing them...?
Same here, happened to me once when I was derusting, which means I probably did it slightly wrong in some way. Try making sure you do everything exactly the way it's done in the tutorial, or try looking at a run and replicating that.
Did you change the game's language before?
You can move during the static which moves the time forward. This is what the other guys are doing and what causes the guy to be appear to be dead earlier :P I don't think it should affect the time.
Demo and BETA categories should probably be made misc, then. Also I dont know what the heck NG+ is meant to be?
