I know. that's why I said that. as a joke. that being said though, I can't possibly imagine why it would be allowed tbh. no offence to OP.
Thanks for all of the replies, I really appreciate it. as for the reply that Echon sent, just the 1f walljump setup. no fast accel, because I think that with enough practice, anyone can do the walljump. as for any other tricks, I think the original wrong warp setup by AndrewG is beginner-friendly enough and saves around 6 seconds(if I'm not mistaken) compared to not doing the wrong warp at all. but that's about it. everything else is movement.
wierd. might be a bit fun though.
when/if the category is made, let me know. I might run it.
hi! I am a TASer and speedrunner of other games, and I was wondering if we know the lowest possible time without fpg or bbg, or basically, only beginner tricks? cause I want to try to make a TAS that only does beginner tricks, but I want to know the fasted time possible before I do. anyone here know?
That's a weird route at best, but what about having 0 stars to enter WF? either way, if you do an lblj or slblj to go into whomps, it saves no time over just getting reds done then and there. plus with things like the tsukishima cycle, you don't lose time doing reds compared to no reds. I guess do what you want, but I think it's not a very good route.
the new retron 1 AV (the one that came out in 2021) is the most accurate. accurate sound, the color palette is maybe a little off, and it does have the same framerules and does have the same lag and sprite limit. I think if any should be allowed, it should be the retron 1 AV. the retron 5 using software emulation is extremely accurate as well, but it's using a normal emulator, so virtually no lag.
anyways, it's not up to us anyway. it's up to the mods. if the mods choose to test all of the clone consoles in the background, then that's on them. not on us.
because no. nothing through the door is loaded. it's just a black void.
actually, not true. using a blj anywhere cheat. or carefully using tas to blj into the door, you'll see that it's not loaded. even if you clip behind it and enter the door from behind, you won't be able to enter the door because the (you need a key to unlock this door) message appears. so no. not possible.
it won't split at the key anyway. it splits at fadeout. set the fadout to 3. that way one fadeout is when you enter the level, then when you enter bowser, that's fadout 2. then it splits on fadeout 3.
if you want it to split on the key, and are using emulator, use the autosplitter in livesplit for the keys, and just remove the autosplit on as64. if you're on console, tough luck.
I'd say don't mess with the flagpole glitch until you get more like a 4:57 ish, but that's just me. bullet bill clip is a lot easier, so that's def worth learning before flagpole glitch. but honestly, movement is so much more important anyway, and without the fpg or the bbg, you can easily get 4:56 or lower. perfect your movement, then learn bbg first.
as far as I know, you can't use 4xc on emu. unless you switched to keyboard controls. I can't remember if the raphnet adapter does the same thing as a hyperkin adapter, but I use the same thing as you. OEM controler, and a hyperkin adapter. as far as I know, 4xc is only able to be used on console.
oh, alright. thanks. also, why are there a wiiVC and a wii category on the leaderboards? are they the same, or is the wii the all stars remake? nice pfp btw.
does it do the same thing when resetting in the menu? and which version of windows are you using?
yeesh. why comments in the first place? this isn't youtube.
what the title says. I don't have an official nes, nor a computer that supports fceux, so I was wondering if fceugx on a modded wii is allowed? if so, what platform would it be under?
hey! new runner here, just got 13th in the good egg galaxy dino piranha level, and I looked at the world record for both the any% and the dino piranha level, and I couldn't help but notice that they were using 2 player mode. how would I go about doing the same thing? do they hold 2 controllers? do they use a homebrew program?
actually, if they have an original n64 controller, than USB is not an option. get the hyperkin USB adapter. it's only like 10 USD.
yeah. around a 4:53.267. that's what's known to be humanly possible without doing the holding both left and right to gain momentum thing. with it, it's a 4:51 something.
exactly. the fastest possible time(performed by the tas) is only milliseconds ahead. we're getting to the human limit. the only known remaining timesaves are insanely hard to get consistent in RTA.
