I've seen splits required for timers that use load removers as well.
Assuming this rule is still in effect, you'd just be running the No Major Glitches category. If you're on PS3, Easy would be the lowest difficulty available anyways. Also anyone wondering why double post, original reply wouldn't edit so I just deleted and re-did.
4 comment: I've only ruined the count officially once when I specifically said "I'm ruining the counting on purpose" a while back. if we're being pedantic about the capitalization needed on "comment" then i mean that's on you guys. also would Bacon's ruin the count since he didn't actually count on his post? funny that ox said he would let us be and is still here helping like crazy XD

comment: tbf rules say cardinal numbers, which can mean either digit form or fully written out so idk why we restarted this time

comment: i just wanted to add to the chaos that was happening today in here :) btw it's roman numerals
MKB is just a different way to control the game. There's typically no requirement saying you must do runs with controller especially on PC games so you should be fine. If you're really concerned, you can double check with the mods but more than likely they'll just say there's no issues with it.
For the runs, first example of 2 min run in 20m of video with that 2m being the only thing submitted, yeah I've seen those get rejected before. It's one thing I'm definitely OK with, especially since YouTube has a built in editor and Twitch has the Highlighting function. Second example as Dan said would be nice for runners to put in time stamps about when X part of run actually starts or they can always have their links timestamped to start when that category they're submitting for starts.
Second part of posts is pretty close to first response, which is that I've seen runs be rejected if not embedded, which a lot of those Dan mentioned not having any embedding features.
tbf there's already 1 counting thread. can see why people are so adamant about counting in that one compared to this.
Reset btw
I mean any re-timing doesn't pay attention to the timer at all. You're usually using some kind of video editing software to get the timing down to the frame.
The "Resources" tab on whatever game should list if someone has made any kind of autosplitter and there may be a forum post or guide on how to set it up, but a lot of older retro games do not have autosplitters like that. They'll typically at most use load remover tools. If it's just on first movement, it doesn't sound too hard to do the first split right when moving the magnifying glass. Best bet is to check those boards and then ask on that run's forums or in their discord if there are any autosplit tools like that for the game.
SM64 Discord stuff leaked into the forums one day and this was born. Also:
Hey
They're not asking for specific levels to be banned, but for people not to actively look at the level layout through something like smm2.wizul.us

You'd need to ask in the Hollow Knight community itself, whether on the SRC Forums on the game's page or Discord. They already have ILs for some trials and pantheons with any bindings and all bindings as a drop down toggle.
Gotta check the rules for the specific game on the game page or ask within that community. Typically for MP runs only one person has to record and it's usually the host, but it can vary hence why you'd have to go through them to find out.
