comment: you made a pedantic addendum to a rule i've been following compared to the people that have joined since and literally purposefully ruining runs...
Looking at Palia board in general, its a pretty quiet board so I wouldn't doubt side category like that not existing due to the game not being that popular to speedrun. If its something you've discussed with a mod, its gonna be best bet to try and keep talking with them, but I can see why they wouldn't make any extra categories.
You need to check the rules pages for each specific game to see if it's allowed or not, especially with PS2 era games and later since those emulators are not nearly as accurate compared to official hardware and typically not allowed (that being said PS2 emus have recently been getting accepted like with the Sly games). NSMBWii, for example, on the very first line of their rules specifically states that runs must be done on an official version, whether physical or digital, and USB Loaded game or emulation not allowed. If you're unsure if a version is allowed and not in the rules specifically, can always reach out to mods to ask whether in that game's forums or in their discord server.

comment: im not trying to reset the run like you think. if i was i would purposefully stop without a count as i've done before/
In this particular instance, I know the mods are ok with it. Even though the No LBLJ CE boards are meant for people with a 16 star LBLJ run as their main PB, the mods don't question submissions to both if you used the No LBLJ route. Other games you'd definitely be better off asking in the game's forums or their discord because some boards may not allow multiple submissions like that.
Unofficially for me 21h 9 minutes for a glitchless run of all 6 Uncharted games. No boards for that, but there is one for the original trilogy which is at 8h 18m.
You're gonna want to go to the game's page and actually ask around and poke around there. They do have a discord linked there as well. https://www.speedrun.com/sekiro/forums
I'm sure the routing guides have routes designed to skip any tricks that meet those criteria btw
So for that instance, they do explain it within the Category Rules when you are on a leaderboard with that option selected. They list a No Major Skips as "Tricks that do not skip entire missions, and that save no more than 30 seconds are permitted. Skipping sub-missions, such as collecting flashlight in daycare, are allowed. Going Out of Bounds, or using deloads in any way shape or form, are banned."
2 options:
- While those splits are open, right click and choose "Save Splits As...", save file for new run, then go and make all the edits you need in the "Edit Splits..." tab.
- Start from scratch by doing right click "Close Splits", timer should just show basic timer, to which you do the "Save Splits As..." and setup brand new.
First one sounds like its just a NG+ method, which would be simple enough to set a rule that attempts must be done on a fresh file or something like that.
For the second one, I wouldn't necessarily consider it cheating if it's listed as a resource for the game and everyone can use it, though I can see the argument of doing a mod for QoL being deemed as a cheat.
