That doesn't answer their question as the 3d all stars board doesn't have ILs...
My best guess is it has to do with loading times and language options but I'm not 100% about that.
It IS annoying, but running on 3DAS is very restrictive as you can't run any CEs or ILs. Loading times probably do affect this decision, but in terms of ILs, I don't think load times should matter much if at all.
It does matter. Especially when doing Galaxy Clears or Dome Clears. Loads in 3DAS are not just a fraction of a second faster. Some loads are nearly a second faster, so it would give an advantage to those runners. Also language for things like Bowser and Bowser Jr. levels would have a significant change with Korean instead of the Wii/WiiU Japanese
