If you do a mock run and send it in to me, Ill take a look at it and talk with the other mods to see their thoughts on it. Personally I'm not sold on it, just because the requirements for some of the shops is super minimal( Wario City is one mission) but I'm open to convincing

was doing any% and was on bowser. i was up by 11 top of the first and he struck out, but the game didnt end. was i only supposed to go to 10?

you more than likely had mercy turned off, as going to 11 is perfectly fine

@DillPickel if you bunt in te sweet spot you should be able to get a pop fly

I’m new to speed running and just made my account today. this is the first game i’ve ever run and just started last week. so my question is: what do i need to know about getting runs verified? i will film my runs but the quality won’t be great. if the video isn’t very good would my run not get verified or is it fine? edit: also what platform should i select for my run? i’m using the wii disc but playing it on a wii u.

Welcome to speedrunning! Any video quality is fine, but if you're just starting out as long as your time isn't under ~20 minutes you don't have to worry about video proof. And if you're playing on the disc select the Wii version as the WiiU version is exclusively for virtual console. Good luck with the runs and let me know if you have any more questions!

from what i understand yea wii u has faster loading times so overall its faster to run on wii u lmk if you have any more questions good to see people interested in running the game

wii u has a advantage but i still recommend running the game u can get a really good time on wii if it were up to me id split the leaderboard to wii u and wii but not mod tho.

It really isn't significant enough. Maybe once record requires the Wii U loads. But record is still doable on Wii

That's why I asked if an emulator was allowed, I'm not sure how loading times function on dolphin compared to the Wii or Wii U.
