I just started thinking about new category ideas and these two came to mind. Two more categories that I think would work is getting the two unlockable stages. Luigi's Mansion and Daisy Cruiser. Luigi's Mansion meaning having to defeat Bowser Jr. in Mario Stadium and unlock the shop, then getting the money to purchase Luigi's Flashlight as quick as possible. Also, you would have to defeat Bowser Jr. to unlock nighttime mode. Daisy Cruiser having to defeat Bowser Jr. in Peach Ice Garden and then collecting the coins necessary to unlock the Cruiser pass in the shop. The timing would start as normal, but the timing would end when the text pops up on screen saying "____ is open" when in the hub world. Just a thought for two more short little categories that would be contained in challenge mode that could be fun to route and run :)

these are great ideas and i am very interested. with all the category ideas that have been suggested, i think a category extensions leaderboard could work well for some of the more obscure categories and would not affect the main board at all.

i worked on routing and then did a couple daisy cruiser runs today (my best was 17:55) and it was extremely fun. loving this category so far. one thing to note if anyone decides to try either of these categories is that once you have completed a run, you have to completely wipe your save because even if you start a new challenge mode, daisy cruiser will still be unlocked from the last run. so on my second run it didn’t say “daisy cruiser is now open.”

So glad you tried it out! I did LM% a while back and I think I had a crappy 18:43. Good note about the wiping file though thank you!
