Crash is another easy to learn, hard to master character. He's able to deal tons of damage quickly, so he has no need to move for most fights, making his runs mainly about optimization. The best strat for him is to find a vantage point where the boss is always in range, get as close as possible, and shoot both Remote Bombs and normal Crash Bombs as fast as possible. Only one of each is allowed on screen at once, so it's important to be as close to the boss as possible. An alternative strat that has been less tested, but may possibly be faster, would be to spam Crash Bomb and Homing Crash Bomb. When Crash uses Special 2 midair, he will fire a Crash Bomb that will aim in a straight line towards the nearest enemy. The difficulty with this strat is that the Homing Bombs will not fire above Crash, so to run this strat, it requires both staying in a position that Crash Bombs can hit the boss, while also jumping to fire Homing Crash Bombs, and making sure to only shoot the Homing Bombs while Crash is higher than the boss. The advantage to this is that you're able to deal the same damage as the Crash/Remote Bombs strat, but for drastically less EP.

Due to Crash's high damage output, he goes very well with Mega in multiplayer runs. This is because, using Rush Jet, Crash, no longer needs to jump to hit the boss, potentially doubling the damage over time of half the bosses.
