Taking into account that there's now a recorded run of this game, which will have more weight? IGT, or RTA?

Going to leave this up to the Moderators b/c I am way too new to Speed Running in general but my thoughts on the matter are:

There are scenes in the game that don't count towards in game time e.g. loading screens and I think (not confirmed) any of the non pre rendered cutscenes you can't pause menu into. Like when Dunby is talking in the Donuts mission at the start.

When doing playthroughs on both 3DS and Emulator, I'll be creating a list and start testing this out on both platforms.

If we can then get the times properly/agreed upon for the ones that don't count we can add that time to any non emulator/full video submission to the runs and have an approximate RTA for a 3DS submitted IGT.

I got the idea from how the Mario Kart community did(does?) the PAL vs NTSC and how the other LCU game subtracts time from not being able to skip cutscenes that are skippable on other versions of the game.

If this is adopted we as a community would need to do some data collection of load times on 3DS's and come up with averages for the load times and precise times for the cutscenes.

ALL of the above is: assuming no major glitches are found to skip large sections of the game. At which point I'd want video evidence or proper steps to reproduce

If we do rta then people have to show there runs so fun others can learn how to do better runs instead of haveing to figure it out for themselves

So I have confirmed the above:

There are several of these cutscenes throughout the game and it will take some time to get them all and time them all.

This would just leave load times to account for, this I am sad to report.... are varied even on the emulator they can vary by up to 5 seconds. On the 3DS it's even worse I had 1 load vary by almost 20 seconds for the same file load.

So for converting the existing 3DS IGT to RTA, I don't think it's going to be possible without some heavy handed generalizations towards load times.
