I've reported and notified people of this bug quite a long while ago, albeit through Twitter in the late stages because I was still fed up with being unable to change the sub-country flag then. it's pretty disappointing that such an (I would imagine) tiny fix just hasn't happened yet, especially one which looks so shoddy and so many new users will likely encounter.

Funny that this could be considered a necropost, but:

https://www.speedrun.com/post/7mkn7 This is an example of a thread that was clearly dead and someone commented on it, bringing it back to the forum as a "new" topic.

Instead of "NEW" on the left-hand side, it would be really cool if y'all added a feature in which certain criteria would label a post as a necropost. What'd be really fun would be potentially a zombie hand icon or something to make it clear to users that the post they are clicking on is actually not recent, but that someone has commented to make it recent.

Edit 7/26/2023: Thanks for adding the date of post created on the new forum section!

talking about the "NEW" text they still havent fixed the bug of that text appearing on threads where the last message is yours.

I mean yeah, I think we would heavily benefit from a reworked forum

The new notifications tab shows only the most recent five notifications. It's hard to know whether you have more than five notifications, so you end up clicking on the "view all notifications" to get that information.

It would be better for the user to have some sort of knowledge of how many notifications are unread (such as showing the number of unread notifications in the tab).

Even better would be to make the list scrollable so no extra click has to be made. Load the recent five, and if they reach the bottom of that section, load another five, and so on. Otherwise, I'd rather just be taken to the main notifications page so I don't miss anything.

(@Oxknifer, they're not gonna read this here, post it in the intended thread)

That thread is going to die eventually and this one will survive (maybe) :))

I also sent it directly to them in the support hub so no worries

You should still be able to also just delete teh notifcations, for the same thread you get multiple notifications so technically I need to open the same thread multiple times to get rid of all notifications for that thread.

@Matse007, or you could click "Mark all as read"

Would be nice to tag users in the page settings who worked on the custom speedrun.com logo. Hovering over the logo could show a tooltip of the users, or you could add credits to the stats page :))

Many hyperlinks in the support section are broken, example: https://www.speedrun.com/support/learn/how-to-start-speedrunning

I would run through all the hyperlinks in the support section and make sure each one leads to a valid page.

I'd also not create a new tab for each link and instead just do routing within the same tab for a cleaner experience.

1 year ago I posted about TAS leaderboards. I still think it's a cool idea.

I currently think the best implementation would be to have a separate TAS tab for games that have an active TAS community. There would be a leaderboard that works pretty much the same as the regular leaderboard, but it would have its own rules and categories. Might also add a separate TAS Stats tab for WR history.

I think just adding it like the 'category extension' section was implemented would be cool, I've always been curious what the fastest TASs were

The ability for a mod / verifier to remove themselves from a game leaderboard has been removed. Please add that back in.

Also (optionally) please allow a moderator to demote himself to a verifier.

Automated IL Population - Revisiting a request from 2017

The addition of a unique page to add single levels at a time might mess with a lot of mods. As a test, try adding 100 levels to a new game and see the amount of time it takes.

Adding 100 levels should be as easy as writing a template name and selecting a number of levels to create, or uploading a .CSV or something. Running an automated level creation should add to the array of levels already existing.

Example:
Variables: Opening Street, 10
Creates: Opening Street - 1, Opening Street -2, ..., Opening Street - 10
Example 2:
Variables: Level, 100
Creates: Level - 1, Level - 2, ... Level - 100

@YUMmy_Bacon5 does this notify you?

Just checking to see if that creates a notification. And if it doesn't, I think that would be a nice feature

Thanks for helping me test that lol. Awesome, that resolves this Does it work in game-specific forums as well?

Still would be nice to have a reply functionality Maybe an extra icon next to the link and the heart that would simply prepend the user's name to your next post. Could also have text saying "Replying to @YUMmy_Bacon5:" where the words "Replying to" perform a jump to the message you are replying to instead of creating a new tab.

Yes, I think it also works on site News, game news, run comments, etc. But I'm not sure about run descriptions. @Oxknifer
